MarshallDenver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall, fresh off a one-game suspension and a killer 18-reception performance in his Week Two debut, may still have consequences to face from his earlier incidents.

CompleteColorado.com is reporting that authorities in Fulton County, Georgia are now pursuing charges stemming from a domestic dispute between Marshall and his then-girlfriend Rasheeda Watley that took place in March of this year. Again, it’s important to note that Marshall has not committed any new crimes – these charges stem from the previous incident.

The details of Marshall’s suspension are not known. He just pleaded guilty to DWAI from an earlier incident, and now charges are being filed for another incident. Does this affect his suspension? We hope not, but who knows? PFT points out that a trial date would likely be in November or December, and the Broncos are headed to Atlanta to play the Falcons on November 16.

If the incident occurred in March i would hope that the Commissioner would be aware of it already. I dont understand why he doesnt get that the rules apply to him though.

I don’t think that there’s much to worry about, Roger Goodell has never had a problem suspending players prior to a court ruled for or against a certain situation. Goodell definitely took everything that website (more like the Enquirer for mountain people or that old woman on the block who’s into everyone’s business) and the Denver Post published.

I don’t think there’s much to worry about, as far as a suspension goes. Of course, as everybody knows, an NFL player usually can’t be suspended for their first DU-incident under the new CBA.

there is nothing to worry about. Goddell would have already had to take this incident into account long before these charges came to be. this is past stuff so Goddell cant just say “oh you are charged so lets suspend you again” Goddell was already aware of this and took it into consideration before the previous suspension
