Marshall Suspension Reduced to One Game

UPDATE: It’s confirmed. Marshall will still be docked two game checks, it sounds like.

Gary Miller over at CBS4 Denver reports that Brandon Marshall’s NFL suspension has been reduced to one game. The move comes after Marshall met with NFL officials in New York on Tuesday.

Sources say Marshall will now only be suspended one game and one paycheck after he was initially suspended three games.

Marshall was summoned to Goodell’s New York offices on July 18 to explain a series of off-the-field misdeeds over the past year, most notably his March 6 arrest on a domestic violence warrant filed by his former girlfriend in Atlanta.

This is certainly encouraging. The San Diego Chargers have just been put on notice.

Great news!!! I can’t wait to Marshall vs. Cromartie and give the chargers a better game than the two beating last year where we did’t even put one in the endzone. I still thought him being suspended at all is unjustified but having for the tougher divisional game is great. If I ever get in trouble I need Harvey’s number because he is a hell of an attorney. I will also have to take out another mortage to get the money to afford. Sorry just rambling because I am excited for the football and realize how important every divisional game is.

WOOOHOOO!! the Charger fans who were praying ceremoniously every hour of the day for Marshall’s suspension just shit their pants. bring on Oakland!! we can beat Oakland without Marshall! the Chargers and Phyllis Rivers are toast!!

the funny thing is, i dont think that charger fan is even worried about us, with our without marshall. i liked our chances before, and i love our chances now.

This should make week 2 more interesting. Marshall with a chip on his shoulder vs Cromartie / Jammer will be a lot of fun to watch.

^^I definitely didn’t shit my pants at the news, but there’s no doubt this makes the game a lot tougher for the Chargers. It’ll be a battle come Sept 14th.
