In the video above, the NFL Live crew attempts to break down the AFC West.  When they get to the Denver Broncos analysis they just butcher it completely. We’re not a complete team by any means, but they nitpick for all the wrong reasons.

  • Lack of playmakers – Hi. I’d like to introduce you to Brandon Marshall and Tony Scheffler. They both finished in the top 10 of their positions. Our quarterback has been known to make plays with his big arm AND quick feet as well.  Oh, and I pray the 31 other NFL teams underestimate Champ Bailey the way you just did.
  • Linebacker corps – “The linebacker position is not content.  They have to find a way to put D.J. (Williams) on the field where he can make plays.”  Okay.  Done.
  • Brandon Stokley is not our #1 wide receiver.  He’s our #3.  But good analysis otherwise.

Michael Smith is the only one that even makes a good point, more of an after thought, by mentioning the defense finding a new identity under Bob Slowik.

Someone give me a job.  I’m tired of this complete garbage being spewed around as fact.  And people getting paid to spew it.  If you’re going to talk about the Broncos, mention the injuries to the offensive line last year, and a lot of new players in new spots this year.  Mention the defensive line in any fashion, for crying out loud.  Those are our biggest issues.

I’ve always felt ESPN has a definate I HEART SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA feel to its coverage, never more so than when USC was about to play Texas for the national championship in 2005. I can see some of that same SoCal love for the Chargers sometimes, too.

    *definite

I agree. ESPN has always downed the broncos regardless of what they do. When we went to the AFC championship the never mentioned anything positive about our play…only the things that we did wrong. And for the fact that you can tell that two of the people in the video are simply reading off a prompt board just goes to show that everything said is only half ass though out. I think that the NFL Network does a much better job about showing you the GOOD AND THE BAD instead of jumping on the Chargers band wagon.

i think it is a reflection of the typr of guy that is doing the reporting, and their lack of desire to find out what the heck they are talking about. it’s easy to disect the patriots or chargers- their rosters are stocked. compared to everyone else in the league, teams are FULL of holes.

if stink was on there, it would be a different story- and not because he is a former bronco. he understands what it takes to be informed about the teams he is supposed to be talking about. same with that guy who used to be the gm of the titans. they have football smarts, rather than simply the ability to read a que card. smith was the only one in this preview that made a lick of sense.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STUPID! Sto was NEVER #1 WR! not once! gosh! i HATE how evey body bashes the Broncos. THe Chargers have more problems than the Broncos, for one thing Philip STINKS! and trent i was thinking the same thing about NFLN, and please try 2 not swear

Unless it is Mike Golic or Mark Schlereth as the anaylist…I don’t even watch NFL Live. Eric Allen is clueless….and he is smarter than Shawn King. They didn’t do their homework at all.

Keep your pants on folks. No question that was lame, but save these vids for future reference. We Will be a better team than these uninformed morons suspect, and we can laugh out loud when they try to explain how we came out of nowhere, sometime in October. Can’t wait to see them squirm out of their BS opinions.

i personally enjoy it when the “experts” low ball the Broncos. i find it more of a jinx when they are picked to win the division and go deep in the playoffs, if not the SB. is it possible that the players read into these opinions and play accordingly sometimes..? i dunno. it’s fun to read all this pre-season dribble, good or bad. GO MY FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM!!!!!

I can’t wait to watch this next year when we are in the playoffs and they are making bets against us.
