As draft day approaches, BroncoTalk will be giving you game tape highlights of some of the bigger (and smaller) names around the draft. Today’s installment – we’ll be sticking with Vanderbilt for the second day running, highlighting Offensive Tackle Chris Williams.

For what I think is a much more thorough video that was edited down to the video above, check out the Rivals.com reel on Williams

This is the guy I see the broncos getting. Clady will get snatched up, and then williams will be the choice.

I have to agree az, after seeing how slow Otah was in his 40 I don’t see him fitting in well with the Broncos scheme. I’ve always been more a fan of the tall and strong type for OT. Gives you more leverage on DEs when they try to shoulder dip and you can drive them right into the turf. Otah looks more like a guard than a tackle to me, I also think he’ll end up playing RT for a team rather than left. I’ll be posting his highlights soon, but I’ve been looking for more videos.

To me, Williams and Clady offer a slightly different package. Both are nimble and athletic as hell (both ran 5.1-5.2 40 times). Clady has the nod in pass protection, and Williams is a tiny bit of a better run blocker.

I also want a smart offensive tackle. Clady’s wonderlic scores were horrid, but I don’t use those to determine football IQ. He already has experience in zone blocking, and it’s clear he would fit the Denver system PERFECTLY.

Either one would make me a very happy fan.
