[Brandon Marshall]

Brandon Marshall sounds like he’s getting tired of the entire “Big Mac Attack” charade, but he hasn’t escaped it yet. In an impromptu meeting with the press, Brandon cleared the air about why he held back the severity of his injury, and made sure to repond to Woody Paige‘s recent criticism as well.

The team’s official site has video of the session in its 25-minute entirety.

On why he wasn’t forthright with the severity of his injury —

“I cut my arm to this degree, you know. I don’t want anybody to know that. I let Greek (Head Trainer Steve Antonopulos) handle that stuff. But I’m in Orlanda, Florida. Far from Denver. I hadn’t talked to Greek or a head trainer yet, so I’m gonna let him do that. So I took it upon myself to make a decision to get back to Denver and let him determine the severity of it.”

But the good stuff is about seven minutes in:

“Woody Paige is a columnist. He writes an opinion. He’s the same guy that’s telling me to grow up, that I’m a baby, but if you turn on ESPN every day, Around the Horn, he’s wearing wigs, he’s got crazy quotes behind him. Who wants the attention, me or Woody Paige? … Woody Paige is the same guy every day. If you turn on ESPN. you’re gonna see him muted out every time because everything that comes out of his mouth is a lot of boloney. And that’s the truth.”

I don’t agree with everything he said (the “I don’t owe you anything” sticks out), but I’m glad he took the mic today. And I couldn’t agree more about Paige.

Usually I prefer my favorite players to do the talking on the football field, not off it, but this was such good stuff I’ll take it.

I definitely agree with what he says about Woody Paige, but I’m not too sure about what he’s saying about his injury. I like the guy, but I think he should just put his legal troubles behind him, shut up, and play football.

agree. shut up and play football.

although the paige thing was funny. woody can’t be muted enough!

I think everyone should get off his nuts. Yah he didn’t come out and say, “My brother and I were wrestling and I slipped on a McDonald’s bag and went through the television.” BUT, he did say that he slipped on a McDonald’s wrapper and went through the television. He didn’t lie about what happened and I don’t care who you are EVERYONE wrestles around with someone.

I like BMarsh even more after this Woody statements. I’m just glad it didn’t turn out that BMarsh was drunk and fell into the entertainment center or TV or whatever nearly cut his arm off. :)

That’ the thing Zappa, I’m not sure the whole drunk thing wasn’t the case. We have no choice but to take his word for it though.

I roughhouse with my little brother all the time, he is now stalkier than I am, but I can still take his butt to the ground. Family get togethers can be rowdy, so I am inclined to believe his statement. I am not ready to think he has a drinking problem yet. ;)

I think I should have mentioned that I am 29 years old and still rough house with my little brother who is 23. I feel it makes a difference, rather than if I were 17 and my little bro was 14… ;)

  • azbronco7

dude my brothers and i play rough all the time. but we play rough when we’re drunk too…..

  • Mitch Melheim

Drunk? Didn’t he say that this was in the morning before they went jet sking?

  • Mitch Melheim

Which if he was drunk, I’ll mark that under drinking problem. But it was a family vacation with his parents, so I doubt he was drunk in the morning.

Woody Paige is to genius what a fat kid is to a deep fryer
