[Lucky Charms]

In our weekly chat with fellow fans we have covered your fan-history and your gameday viewing tendencies. But now I want to know something much more personal….

IMAGINE THIS: The Broncos are down by 6 points… there’s only 1:32 left in the fourth quarter… we have the ball on our own 5 yardline…. Jay Cutler steps out onto the field to try a last minute 95 yard drive to win the game…

When this scenario plays out, what do you reach for to tip the scales of luck to our side? Do you have a favorite Bronco hat, shirt or stuffed Miles doll? Do you wear your good luck undies or sit in your good luck chair? Do you have a voodoo dance or magic chant that you must do in order to persuade the Gods to provide their divine favor?

Basically…

What is your good luck charm or routine?

I have to confess… I don’t really have anything dramatic that I do (or don’t do) during games. I have been known to flip the baseball cap around into ‘Rally Hat Mode’ when we are down at halftime, but that’s not very exciting.

Here’s hoping you all have MUCH more interesting stories! :)

At the start of a Broncos game, I put on full gear head to toe and run in place at kickoff. Much to the viewing pleasure of my wife, who laughs hysterically each and every time.

Down at halftime? I take off whatever I’m wearing (I obviously jinxed us) and switch it with something else. I wore my old white Plummer jersey a few times this year by the end of the game…

I don’t have many Gridiron related good luck charms / superstitions but I’m with JD about the hat reversing.

Although, I was terrible when I was going to Manchester Untied every week. Stuff like – I’d only ever go in the same gate; I’d wear the same sweater until we lost; I’d start chewing gum just before going to my seat and wouldn’t spit it out till the final whistle. I’m even worse when I’m actually playing.

As a famous cricket umpire said – it’s bad luck not to be superstitious.

MB, man I couldn’t do the gum thing… I’m a bit of a nervous eater I guess. I tend to go through way too many bags of chips, bowls of chilli, cans of Mt. Dew, tubs of popcorn and anything else I can get my hands on during a Broncos game…. especially when it’s a close or bad game.

I guess that explains why I’ve added 15lbs this season! lol

I have a Broncos Jersey 00 coozie that I always have snug around a Corona bottle during the games.

I ALWAYS wear my white Broncos Cap.

I want to know if Kyle is going to Live Blog next season… It seems to me as though there was some doubt as to whether or not his presence on the site during games affected the outcome. :)

Have you decided what you’re going to do in 08, Kyle?

P.S. On behalf of all of us, I would like to request a youtube video of the “running in place before the kick off.” That sounds great — I might have to start doing that! [only if it works of course]

Live Blog – we’ll see, although I’m open if someone on the staff wants to head that up (or if someone wants to join the crew for that purpose).

YouTube – hahahahhahah, hahaha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, yeah right. :)
