[Stokley]

The Denver Broncos announced today that they have extended wide receiver Brandon Stokely‘s contract for 3 years. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. The club and Stokley had discussed an extension a few weeks ago, but talks were assumed to have tabled until the offseason.  With Stokley’s recent play, however, the Broncos became more aggressive in negotiations, and the two sides came to an agreement today.

Great move by Shanahan and company, locking him up for the future, as many fans had speculated Stokley might use this successful year to hit paydirt in free agency. Sorry, Peyton, Stokley’s staying right here.

Great move! I like this, we are building into next year.

Gotta love this move. The receivers have really shone this year – In pre season we had 1 stand out receiver, 1 unproven starter and 1 slot receiver coming off an injury AND now we have three players that could start on any most teams. Wonder if we could trade Baby TO or Walker for a Linebacker.

Or maybe we could get Patrick Kerney – oh how this season would’ve been different if he’d signed….
