Denver Broncos blog, news and rumors

With Dean Pees in Baltimore it was almost expected that now former linebackers coach Don Martindale has become the defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos. Let’s hope he can earn his keep and stay for more than one year. Press release after the jump.

The Pro Bowl just holds so many amorous memories for Bronco fans. Clinton Portis’ last game as a Bronco, Rod Smith dirty hit by Roy Williams (even at the Pro Bowl Roy is still a dirty player), Mike Shanahan looking like a baseball glove, Jay Cutler playing like Peyton Manning destroyed the only insulin pump on […]

Last week when Mike Nolan “parted ways” from Denver everyone felt assured that Dean Pees had the Broncos defensive coordinator job locked down. Well not anymore. According to several rumors the current Broncos linebackers coach Don Martindale is expected to get the job. According to the Denver Post the Broncos also considered the Patriots Linebackers […]

Wild Card Weekend has come and gone, leaving us three entirely forgettable affairs and one that will be talked about for years to come. Speaking of 3 and 1, that just so happens to be BT’s record from picking the games this weekend. If it wasn’t for Shayne Graham and Carson Palmer imploding like NBC’s […]

Note: if you’re looking for positive thoughts, or for something to cheer you up, something to help you realize life is worth living, don’t read this. They all stink, the whole team, all of em. Life in general too, while we’re at it, #1 on the Stink List=Living. I was irate. Now I’m numb. Numb […]

It turns out that the Broncos’ playoff picture is more than a little bit crazy. Despite our rather anemic 8-7 record, we currently hold the 5th wild card seed. One would think that means that if we win next week, we’re in. One would be wrong. NFL tie-breaking rules can be rather complex when there […]

Indianapolis Colts (14-0) Indianapolis won again… woo… Well actually this time […]
