On Tuesday, ESPN‘s Adam Schefter reported that the Broncos had fired defensive backs coach Ron Milus, due in part to the secondary’s meltdown in Denver’s 38-35 double overtime loss to Baltimore in the divisional round of the playoffs.  After further digging, it turns out Milus “clashed” with members of the secondary and was not going […]

ESPN’s Adam Schefter has just reported that the Denver Broncos have fired defensive backs coach Ron Milus. This release comes after an extraordinarily bad showing in last weekend’s divisional game at home against the Baltimore Ravens. Milus was in the second season of his second time on the Broncos’ coaching staff, he originally coached Denver’s […]

So you can’t really fault John Fox for not going for more of a home run hit prior to the Ravens getting the ball back, it did work the four out of four times the Broncos had used the strategy. The numbers were in Fox’s corner and if it ain’t broke, play Foxball.

Owner Pat Bowlen says he was “ticked off” after the loss, and talks about how much of an impact John Elway has had on the team. [Denver Post] Despite Coach Fox and Elway’s insistence, or maybe because of it, Fox’s decision to kneel at the end of regulation is drawing criticism and fan angst. Broncos coach John Fox has taken a lot of heat for Denver’s two kneeldowns before halftime and overtime in the Broncos’ 38-35 loss to the Ravens last weekend.  But should he be? Fox is known for being conservative (often overly conservative, actually), but against Baltimore, kicker Matt Prater had already missed a field goal earlier […]

On Saturday, John Fox and his coaching staff came under fire after questionable play-calling during Denver’s 38-35 overtime loss to Baltimore.  In two weeks, Fox and his staff will be in Hawaii, coaching the All Stars of the American Football Conference. Because the Broncos were the highest seed to lose in the divisional round of […]

Well, the dust has settled, and reality is starting to creep its ugly head into our minds. I’m still not sure I believe what my eyes showed me Saturday night, but I’m willing to start believing that I’m not stuck in a 2 day long nightmare, and what transpired on the field really did happen. […]

“There have been plenty of mind-blowing choke jobs in the NFL playoffs over the past few decades, but not many can beat what happened at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Saturday night.” [ESPN] Did that really just happen? As the hours have passed, John Fox‘s game decisions have come under increased (and deserved) […]

There’s no sugarcoating this one, Denver Broncos fans. It’s 1996 all over again. This one stings. The Broncos are not Super Bowl bound. The Broncos are not preparing to host an AFC Championship Game next week. The Broncos have one-and-blundered a playoff game and are one-and-done. The Denver Broncos, 13-3, winners of 11 straight, and […]
