On Friday, the Denver Broncos placed tenders on five players.  Details below via the Denver Post:

“The Broncos tendered restricted free-agent punter Britton Colquitt with a “right of first refusal” distinction that would pay him a $1.323 million salary for the 2013 season.

“The Broncos also offered right-of-first-refusal tenders to two other restricted free agents, running back Lance Ball and offensive tackle Chris Clark. The team will not tender restricted free agent fullback Chris Gronkowski. […]

“The Broncos also issued tender letters to exclusive-rights free agents Tony Carter and Mitch Unrein.”

Per the ‘Post, the Broncos will be able to match any offers from other teams made to Colquitt, Ball or Clark, while Carter and Unrein will both earn the third-year minimum of $630,000.  Teams can begin negotiating with unrestricted free agents tomorrow (the signing period begins on the 12th).

The Broncos are expected to make an offer to wide receivers Brandon Stokley, while letting their other FAs test the open market.  Cornerback Tracy Porter and linebacker D.J. Williams are not expected to return, and the team would like defensive end Elvis Dumervil to take a pay cut.

With their six RFAs out of the way (assuming they will sign their tenders), the team can now focus on unrestricted free agents.  Who would you like to see the team sign?

all in there primes and the salaries they had back in the day and you sir have a deal

  • Brandon Kirk

If the Ravens are stupid enough to cut Boldin, we should go after him.

  • Limpbuzzcut

We really need a DT. It’s been so long since we have had a good one. Peyton Manning should do a restructure of his contract so we can get more weapons.

  • Doom92

Lance Ball? Damn if we go into another season even remotely relying on that dude I’ll be bummed big time… And keep Hester and cut Gronk, do it now.

  • Cheyenne Kid

Yeah,I get them all but him. And Agree about Hester and Gronk!

  • Cheyenne Kid

Charles Woodsen or Ed Reed, Shonn Greene, Danny Amendola and maybe Urlacher.

  • Doom92

Exactly… As much as I have grown used to hating on Knowshow, I’d like to keep him around. All be it not as the primary runner but he showed some last year down the stretch. Of course pulling his usual get hurt right when we really needed him. But Ball? Please! Dude needs to go and the other guys, like JJ as well. Sure I’ve liked him along the way also but he clearly cant even supplant Ball…

  • Doom92

Well Ref I have to admit you bring up some pretty awesome free agents here but then we’d be Philly, have a dream team and just look good on paper I’m affraid…

  • areferee

    Yeah. It’s kind of a “Wet-Dream” Team…

  • Cheyenne Kid

Agree that Moreno deserves a shot. He ran HARDER than I thought he could. The trainers hopefully will work with him to cut down on his injury proned career!

  • CehnadianBroncoFan

I don’t. Hester was not where he should have been especially as a veteran player at the end of the year. As a bruiser I think we can do MUCH MUCH better. As for Lance…I have not seen how the Practise squad RB Johnson is doing but depending on who is cheaper I say keep the cheaper of the two and cut the other one. Either way PS for now. Moreno did a really good job last year. I am like most concerned about his health/ ability to stay healthy but when he is healthy he is usually quite good.

  • CehnadianBroncoFan

    9ers already got him
