denver-broncos-blogsDenver Broncos News

  • What a comeback by the Denver Broncos last night. Down 24-0 at halftime to the hated San Diego Chargers, things couldn’t have gone more wrong for the Broncos. However, an amazing 35 point explosion in the second half erased all of those mistakes. [DenverBroncos.com & BroncoTalk]
  • Peyton Manning achieved a comeback of monumental proportions that not even he had accomplished in his career and it was must see TV. [Denver Post]
  • A slew of bloggers obviously went nuts over this victory and reading about a big Broncos win over a division rival is always enjoyable.  Check them out here, here and here. [Mile High Sports, Predominantly Orange & IAOFM]
  • An interesting question is posed by one writer. What if Peyton Manning had signed elsewhere? As a Tim Tebow homer, I wouldn’t have been all that upset, but in hindsight I am glad Manning signed with the Broncos! [National Football Post]
  • An unrelated story here, but a good one. An in-depth look at the final months of the life of Junior Seau and his fall into depression and suicide.  A sad ending to a great person and player. [San Diego Union Tribune]

Peyton is getting too much credit and the defense is not getting enough. Also what the hell was with the draw play on 3rd and 11 at midfield and giving the Chargers the ball back with 4 minutes left for a game winning drive? Obviously it worked out in our favor but we didn’t get Peyton Manning so we could play it safe and hope for the best. Terrible coaching once again by Fox and McCoy this week.

  • Bryandotcom

Yup..I’m not a fan of McCoy especially. I love it when the defense starts ball hawking. I just want to see them do it BEFORE we’re down 2 scores and need to get the ball back.

  • Tim Lynch

Same thing happened last year with Tebow. It’s the nature of the QB position.

  • TheTroglodyte

It was the wrong call with Tebow too but at least they could chalk it up to fear Tebow would make a poor decision or throw. Manning should be trusted to throw it away or even fall on it if he has too. The field position wasn’t going to get worse and it’s Peyton Manning we are talking about here.

It’s the nature of Fox to play ultra conservative and pump the breaks as often as he can. He’s a poor mans Marty Schottenheimer.

  • DougEngland

First of all, it was the worst Offensive Pass Interference call of all time on Decker that even put them in that situation.
Secondly, I think Fox knew that Rivers was completely rattled and sensed a chance to further humilate him. A move I hardily endorse.

  • TheTroglodyte

Yes that’s exactly the way it happened :/

In other news can we petition the Broncos to create a uniform along the lines of this http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/boise-state-wins-award-best-black-helmet-photos-162103743–ncaaf.html ?

That would be bad ass to have a “black out” home game once a year.
