What positions should the Broncos be eying as they prepare try to follow-up the success they had drafting the 2011 Defensive Rookie of the Year Von Miller? A cornerback? A defensive lineman?

A quarterback?

    Round 2 – Doug Martin

  • Cdub12344321

Please let us make a run for Kirkpatrick he might even be a second round pick now with that drug conviction!

  • Peter P

    Round 2 – Doug Martin
yep, that is what I’m thinking if it works out.

  • Coxsky46

    defensive, defensive, RB

  • Ivan Repusic

    No..no… Konz at No.25

  • Kevin L MayOrangecrush2013

Trade up and get RG3. He would be a good back up for Tebow. Put some pressure on him to get better. Also make a great wildcat formation.

WOW, it never ceases to amaze me how uneducated Bronco fans can be.They listen to too many “draft experts” get locked in on one name they heard in the first round and think thats the answer to getting the team to the Super Bowl ..The draft is SEVEN rounds and there are good players in every round.
First off Tebow is not the answer. Jville wants him bad..trade him there and get Jvilles 1st and 3rd rounder.Their owner is on record for wanting Tebow and will pay a steep price for him just to fill the stands with the home town boy. Jville has more empty seats than anywhere in the NFL, they will pay the price to have Tebow on their roster.
Use the top 10 pick to trade down a few picks to about 15 pick up an extra 3rd rounder draft Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame
Use 25 for Dre Kirkpatrick or Dontae Hightower
2nd rounder Brock Osweiler QB AZ St
3rd rounder George Iloka Safety Boise St..Hes big and fast enough to run with tight ends like Gronk, even if hes not your starting safety he would be great in pass situations to run with receivers if need be or play the run as a hybrid linebacker
3rd rounder LaMichael James RB Oregon..game breaker in the running game.
3rd rounder Jayron Hosely CB VA Tech..developmental corner and instant impact special teamer , possible Nickel and/or dime back
4th round Chris Rainey RB/WR  florida ..Percy Harvin Type, punt and kick returner 3rd down back,4th WR and gadget play guy  …5th round LB depth and RB depth like Toreen out of Tennesee no 6th rounder…7th rounder Kellen Clemons QB Boise St (reminds me of Drew Brees and all he does is win) or Robert Blanton CB Notre Dame (bad 40 time at combine but hes a gamer and plays the run well from the CB position and has good size About 6’1 and 190lbs )…
P.S John Elway or any other top Bronco Officials I am available for scout work and willing to be an assistant GM to Brian Xanders (you hafta admit this draft looks good and I definitely do my homework)  whoyodaddyiz1@gmail.com ….GOOOOOOOOOOOOO BRONCOS!!!!!!

  • Whoyodadddyiz1

5th rounder you may be able to get that David Molk Center out of Michigan hes a MAULING run blocker but he may be gone by then

  • Dannyissor

I’m sure they’ll get right back to you on your “amazing draft ideas”. Most of this is crap. And why would elway turn the fan base against the broncos again. Use your noggin

  • Anonymous

a first and third for Tebow…good grief, only on Madden.

  • Ace2462

     ur an idiot

  • Ace2462

i agree with his draft sense. elway is not on board with tebow so get what we can and move on. use the money to get manning and some free agent talent. we can still win the west with 9-7 if manning isnt up to speed fast.

  • Whoyodadddyiz1

im not saying its gonna go down exactly this way..but at least you and I can see that elway and Fox have dont really like Tebow, so leats cut ties now and get what we can for him while his value is at his highest ….like I said most these people are uneducated fans ..they buy into HYPE and not whats best for the team and what it takes to win ..my evaluation doesnt look like crap now does it?? looks like thats exactly what they would like to do ..wether we get Manning or not is irrelevant..fact remains Tebow is not very good ..damn dannyissor, who was using their noggin and who wasnt??

  • RodSmith80

are you serious Tebow would have been RG3’s back up Tebow  sucks dude

  • jesussaves

Even if they replace Tebow he will still share gods love to others.

  • Whoyodaddyiz1

lets hope not …hopefully he doesnt end up like all these priests who “share gods love” by molesting little boys…gotta love all the religious hypocrites in this world who swear they live their lives by the bible…the bible is just the biggest fairy tale ever told !! ..lmao !!

  • Man_one

I love how you call people idiots pertaining to their draft knowledge and then subsequently spew forth this dribble. The running back from TENN is Tauren Poole not Toreen, (thats what happens when you try to spell a name you have heard once on tv) and Kellen Clemons, seriously? That guy hasn’t been in college since I was and I’m pretty sure he didnt play at Boise. IT’S KELLEN MOORE.

Also, chris rainey is a percy harvin type??? Why because they both played for Florida? They had similar roles when both played with Tebow but Rainey isn’t half Harvin’s size or have half his dynamic ability. If anything he’s an UNDERSIZED darren sproles and, trust me, he aint worth a fourth rounder.

Also your analyses on Illoka is completely off. He was by far the stiffest safety at the combine (i.e. He CANNOT turn and run with receivers) and along with that his tape already shows he’s poor in coverage. It’s been clearly known he does not do well in pass coverage, he is only good for tackling but barely has the speed to play linebacker for Fox.

Available as a scout or assistant gm? And you even put your email? You dont know jack about scouting and I believe I have just made it sufficiently evident you do not do your homework, if you did you would also know we only have one fifth rounder and you would know a linebackers name instead just saying LB depth. Plus your trade value for Tebow is way off. I see you gloating in the replies as well but the truth is this draft approach is garbage. You listed 3 undersized speed backs when Fox likes strength and size, but you’ve probably never heard of Ronnie Hillman (SDSU) or Lennon Creer (LA Tech) or Terrance Gannaway (Baylor) who the Broncos have actually shown interest in.

Now lets talk defense, because I looooooove scouting Defense. Awesome you know who the Crimson Tide are, good work, but Hightower is going to be off the board at 24 to Steelers at the latest. Its no mystey Broncos like Kirkpatrick. Its also no mystery he will be far gone by 25 and (even though there is no chance in hell your whole trading for picks and trading down scenario happens) they would take him at 15 IF they had that pick. Now to Jayron, who IS MY BOY, love this kid and he will be so far gone by round 3. Developmental?? This kid had nine int’s as a sophomore last year. Two year starter at a school with very impressive history as far as turning out great defensive backs that are NFL READY. He is a man shutdown corner who, if drafted by the Broncos, would be in the starting rotation immediately, not in the Nickel and dime. He had a good combine the gave his stock a nice kick. He has great burst in his ten yard split which displays closing speed, his hips are fluid and he has long arms. Guy is a player and also would be a starting kick returner and punt returner over Rainey because afterall, Hosley does have more kicks returned for touchdowns than Rainey. Then there is your whole cb sleeper thing in the seventh round… OMG if you actually ‘do your homework’ you would be able to list at least five better cb’s than your ND boy who has undrafted free agent written all over him.

Basically what I’m trying to say is STFU. You called other people idiots and then tried really hard to sound smart and cool but now that you have been put in your place, kindly go eat a bag of dicks.

  • Man_one

Ummm no, your evaluation does still look like crap. Have you ever heard of defensive tackle?

  • Man_one

Ummmmmm we have a starting center…………?

  • Man_one

Do you know what conviction means?

Charges were dropped. Weed was the drivers (according to written testimony)

  • Man_one

    Cornerback????????

  • Man_one

    JEREL WORTHY

Or make my dreams come true and trade up for FLETCHER COX

  • Man_one

Im drunk with Peyton Manning fever and in celebration of this glorious day I have elected to do nothing but Bronco’s based activities. Thus, in true Whoyodaddiz fashion I am going to drop some acid and do a mock draft involving the predicted Tebow trade as well as round one trade down.

Errrrr…. Actually not. I’ll take an honest crack at it for anyone interested in reading or calling me an idiot for not having your genius insight. Off we go!

Round 1 (#25): Jerel Worthy DT, Michigan State. 6-2, 308 lbs.
If you know anything about the Broncos you know DT has been a weakness for a long long time. Last year we opted for the eventual Defensive Rookie of the Year in Von Miller rather than opting for Bama’s Dareus who went to the Bills at #3. Coming back from injured reserve are veterans Kevin Vickerson and Ty Warren, the only other DT the Bronco’s currently have under contract is Mitch Unrein and they have tendered Ryan Mcbean as a restricted free agent (4th rnd).
After failing to sign the massive DT Solail, most likely due to attention being saved for Manning, from Miami the Broncos desperately need to re-sign Broderick Bunkley who they reportedly began speaking with as well as address this need with a player that can eat up double teams and get after the quarterback. Coming into last season Worthy was a projected top ten pick but hasn’t maintained that stock due to other rising prospects and games with some uneven effort. Worthy played very strong to end his junior season however, having great games against good o-lines in Georgia and Ohio State. When Worthy is on he wreaks havoc in the backfield. He has the most explosive first step of any DT in this class and showed his quickness off the line at the combine with a 1.64 10 yard split, which is crazy fast for a 308 lbs man. I have Worthy over Stills from Penn State because he puts forth a much more consistent effort and displays a good understanding of playing as a team as well as potential and passion to become a pro bowl defensive tackle very early in his career. The Broncos HAVE TO GO DEFENSIVE TACKLE IN ROUND ONE. I’ll keep saying it until they finally do.

    Round 2 (#57): Nick Toon WR, Wisconsin. 6-2, 215lbs.
Never in my life would I believe that I selected two players from the Big Ten as our first two rounders but, here it is. I agree with the the Doug Martin sentiments but I honestly think he COULD be gone by 57. Also at this point in time there are a lot more RB’s available as free agents. There are virtually no WR’s left, even Donte Stallworth got signed today. For Peyton Manning, or as I am calling him ‘El Rey’, Decker and Thomas aren’t enough at the WR position. We signed Jason Hill from Jacksonville and have a good young Matt Willis tendered as a restricted free agent. Sorry, that’s just not good enough for El Rey. He needs someone in the slot that can get off jams, make blocks, run precise routes and possess strong football knowledge for his hurry up offense.
This is precisely what Nick Toon can do. I have been in love with Toon’s game tape the last two seasons. He runs sharp routes, gets good seperation and has hands like glue. He isn’t a Stephen Hill but 6’2 is good size and he ran a 4.54 official at the combine. Toon’s father played in the NFL and Nick plays with the confidence and polish of a player with great understanding for the game. My absolute favorite thing about the kid; his blocking. 99 times out of 100 this kid is taking his db out of the game on a run play. Toon is so good as a receiver he has flown somewhat under the radar, at least for his talent level, because he plays at for the Badgers where running the ball is the primary focus, but watching his tape during running plays is just as much fun as watching his receiving plays
He’s a physical competitor with game smarts and good size. He can catch screens and slants and create yards after the catch, he can also run deep and tip toe the sideline or grab the jumpball with his 37″ vertical leap.

    Round 3 (#88): Chris Polk RB, Washington. 5-11, 215lbs.
I know I just went against RB while citing free agency but to be honest we could use a good re-tooling of the stable. Mcgahee can’t be the number one back. His body clearly cannot handle it. Everyday I awake and pray Knowshon Moreno gets cut so I can finally part with my painful memory of watching Mcdaniels select him at 12 while Orakpo was still available. I think Fox 100% wants to find a promising young back in this years draft as well as bring in a veteran that can contribute (there are some rumblings of Jonathan Stewart being released from Carolina now that they signed Mike Tolbert for four years and Fox liked him with the Panthers.)
I love Chris Polk out of Washington. He was a big time recruit out of high school. He has NFL quality straight line speed. He is a patient runner that waits for gaps to develop and then bursts through them. He runs fantastically behind his pads routinely bouncing smaller linebackers and defensive backs off of him. He could have easily been a first rounder if he went somehwere with a better o-line and put a little more work in in the weight room.
Polk wasn’t in great shape at the Senior Bowl and looked sloppy as a blocker and this is why he could still be around at #88. He trained at the same complex as Lamichael James following the senior bowl and came in ten lbs lighter at the combine and ran a 4.64. He also did a good job displaying his pass catching skills in the drills. Running back runs in Chris Polk’s veins. He had strong games with huge runs against good run defending ball clubs like Nebraska and Stanford. A little whipping into shape by the new physio squad at Dove Valley and this kid could be a top ten RB in the league in no time. He could easily go for 1200 yards as a rookie. He runs with hunger and tenacity, but it’s buterry smooth. Reminds me of a true number one RB.

Round 4 (#120) Jerry Franklin ILB, Arkansas. 6-1, 241 lbs.
Joe Mays was re-signed but he isn’t a three down linebacker. Nate Iriving didn’t fair well last season with the brief camp and stout run defense up the middle is a place the Broncos are looking to improve. The senior started 30 games in college. He totaled 90 tackles, including 10 for loss, on his way to 2nd team all SEC this season. Franklin also showed the second best speed of ILB’s at the combine this year(4.54) coming in behind Cal’s Mychal Kendricks(4.47). Fox likes quick linebackers, amd being a quality tackler in the SEC is a great sign for a coach that needs help stopping the run.

    Round 5 (#129 from STL) Malik Jackson DE/DT, Tennessee. 6-5, 284 lbs.
D-line is the Broncos biggest concern, easily. Both backup DE’s (Jason Hunter and Derek Harvey) are free agents and they missed out on John Abraham who re-signed with Atlanta. I’d love to see them re-sign hunter but Harvey can be easily upgraded. John Fox loves competition in camp, especially if there is more to get out of a player. Jackson is a good fiery player who can come in and challenge fellow Tenn Vol Robert Ayers for his spot at LE.
Jackson originally began playing for USC and shares a very similar style to former teamate Dajohn Harris. Jackson joined Georgia’s Jarvis Jones in transferring to the SEC once USC players were given the opportunity to to transfer and not miss any time due to the reggie bush fiasco. Jackson has great size as a 4-3 DE and can set the corner well against the run. He has long arms and uses his quick hands very well. He has good ability and tools to swat passes at the line of scrimmage. Whats moat intriguing to the Broncos is his ability to rush the passer from the DT position. Jackson is lightning quick off the snap and is typically too fast, long and aggressive to be handled by interior lineman. He could be a very early contributer on 3rd downs the same way Ryan Mcbean was used.

Round 5 (#152): Keith Tandy CB, WVU. 5-10, 202 lbs.
There is a virtual ton of depth at cb this year. That’s why the Broncos can afford to wait this long. Tandy is a gritty physical player. Solid in man coverage, he’s an aggressive tackler and has the hawk-like predatory prowess one looks for in a cb. I have watched a good deal of his tape and he is a real presence. He can break on a pass and lodge the ball incomplete with aggressive hands or solid hit as well as come up to press you on the line and knock you clear off your route and out of the play. The senior is a leader on the field and would come off the board much higher if it were not his not being invited to the combine.

    Round 7 (#215): Terrence Frederick CB, TA&M. 5-10 187 lbs.
Senior defensive captain. On the field every play. Covered #1 receivers all year including impressive play against Justin Blackmon. He also plays the slot where he is also a very skilled blitzer. Frederick is a flatout football player. And a leader. He is incredibly versatile, he is good in man and zone, he is aggressive and meancing on pass break ups. He has awareness, drive, and intelligence. I have watched every play I can ger my hands on of A&M’s and I’ve only seen him miss an assignment once, well actually he just jumped a double move because his safety was supposed to give him help over the top and wasn’t there but it looked bad for Frederick. He doesn’t have great size but he ran a 4.5 40 and there is no reason he should be as under the radar as he is. Some say he could go undrafted, after being invited to the combine there is no chance but I’m still consistintly amazed at how no one talks about him.

  • Whoyodaddyiz1

I dont exactly agree with all your picks but they are not bad either, the draft is a crapshoot and who knows whos  stock is gonna go up or down during their pro days or whos gonna pick what and when in the draft …BUT..at least you have some sense and arent gonna cry when we get rid of Tebows sry ass…Im glad to see you’re not a “hype fan” and can see that the broncos did the right thing here and brought in Manning..everyone was all pissed n said I was an idiot for my post and as time goes on it looks more n more like my post is closer to a reality. good post man ..at least the Broncos have 2 fairly smart fans with you and I on board =)..no were not gona get a 1 and a 3 for Tebow but it could be possibe to trade our 25th pick AND Tebow to miami or jville and maybe get a top ten pick and maybe pick trent richardson or michael floyd ..either player would be AWESOME to have..good post man_one

  • Whoyodaddyiz1

isnt 1/2 harvins size ..are you serious?? harvin may have 10-15 lbs on em …and hes faster than harvin ..yeah i accidently put clemons instead of moore  but you knew who i was talking about ..iloka has a hybrid nickel player makes sense in pass situations ..would be an upgrade from say DJ williams who has made maybe 5 plays in his NFL career and is TOTALLY OVERATED.. Toreen Taureen..whatever..you knew who i meant..I didnt take the time to google him and his exact stats and measurements ..but he would make for a nice back up RB and not because i heard his name on TV but because i actually watch college ball but dont get to see alot of SEC games unless its bama or florida ..Gannaway is overrated ..with that offense at Baylor he surprised everyone when he ran the ball therefor he has decent stats …my draft was done before we signed manning .. i suggested all those speedbacks  cuz if we kept tebow we needed someone who could actually get around the edge to open up the option game again …..and most of em are decent punt returners cuz with Tebow if were gonna stay in a game we need to win the field position battle ..as for Blanton in the 7th round ..theres not alot of difference in a 7th round pick or an undrafted FA..how many 7th rounders actualy pan out and become good players in the NFL?? just about as many if not fewer than undrafted FAs

  • Whoyodaddyiz1

ok now that we have Manning it changes EVERYTHING since we dont always hafta have GREAT field position to start a drive and have 80% of our drives go 3 & out. With us having the ability to pay with a lead and be able to turn our pass rushers loose our defense should look better for that alone not to mention we have an offense that can keep them off the field and more fresh. SOOOOOO lets update this a little …Ill just use the picks we have and not anticipate the tebow trade

1st round .. could go a few ways ..Kirkpatrick if he drops to us cuz of his drug charge…Fletcher Cox if he falls to us ..Luke Keuchly if he falls to us..Hightower should be there take him if none of those 3 fall to us.

2nd round Osweiler , Lamar Miller or Chris Polk

3rd round Josh Robinson or Jayron Hosely ..both good corners

4th round Iloka  S,Tommy Streeter WR, MAYBE Vontaze Burfict ILB falls this far .. Sean Spence OLB Coryell Judie CB

we DO have 2 5th rounders VIA the Brandon LLoyd trade
5th round…Chris Rainey or Jeff Demps outta Fl…Molk C ,Audie Cole ILB , Cliff Harris CB ,Taureen Poole (there I corrected it)RB

    no 6th

7th round …Kellen Moore (fixed that one too)QB, Blanton CB, Edie PLeasant S,Gannaway RB,Deveir Posey WR,Darius Fleming OLB….ok thats updated for a team with Manning leading it and not sry azz scrub Tim Tebow…KICK ROCKS TEBOW !!!!

  • Man_one

    Waaka waaka waaka

  • Man_one

Kirkpatrick did not get a drug charge. Everything was dropped. His friend in the car, a former db at Bama, claimed it was his and that Kirkpatrick didn’t know it was in the car. I bet you a golden peyton manning statue that Kirkpatrick, Keuchly, Cox, and Hightower are all gone by 25. Josh Robinson and Jayron Hosley are way gone by #88. We would be lucky to get Hayward from Vandy or Boykins from UGA if we want to go cb in the 3rd.

New draft pick = new mock draft!

Round 1 (#25): Jerel Worthy DT, Mich St.

Round 2 (#57): Nick Toon WR, Wisc.

    Round 6 (#176): Terrence Frederick CB, TA&M.

  • Man_one

ummm since we just signed Andre Caldwell I’m taking a mulligan on the 2nd round and changing the pick to Dwayne Allen TE, from Clemson. I will then change the 5th round pick for Evan Rodriguez to Ryan Lindley QB, SDSU.

My Broncos draft dream goes something like this:

    1. Dont’a Hightower, MLB Bama
    2. Trade our 2nd and 4th (or two if necessary) to NE to take Harrison Smith S Notre Dame
    3. Brandon Thompson DT Clemson
    4. (if we have one) Bernard Pierce RB Temple
    4. (if we have two) Marvin McNutt WR Iowa or Brian Quick Appl. State
    5. Mike Martin DT Michigan
    6. Jerry Franklin MLB Arkansas
    6. Josh Kaddu OLB Oregon

  • Anonymous

Apologies, but, I like Marvin McNutt and/or Brian Quick before Toon.  And those dudes are 3rd or 4th Rd candidates easily.

You get the Fantasy Draft jeer, “EARLY!!!” on that 2nd Rd choice.

  • Man_one

    Apologies?

Whay are you apologizing? Because you just shattered my delusions of having scout potential with your illuminating prescence of a opinion? Thank you for considering my feelings….

I watch the tape and I trust MY assessments.

Toon is a stud. I’ll come here and comment again after we see where he gets drafted on April 27th.

Here’s where I’m at following the signings this week.

    #25: Mark Barron SS, Bama
    #57: Kendall Reyes DT, UConn
    #88: Derek Wolfe DT, Cincy
#108: Robert Turbin RB, Utah St
    #120: Malik Jackson DE, Tenn
    #129: Ryan Lindley QB, SDSU
    #151: Vontaze Burfict ILB, ASU
    #176: Terrence Frederick CB, TA&M

I think there is the the tiniest of probable chances that Barron is available at #25. If he isn’t I have a feeling we will take Doug Martin RB, Boise @#25

  • Mrgrove2003

If availible Kellen Moore from Boise State would be a good backup to Peyton

    Hey Everyone,

It’s about that time again where everyone gathers up teams and try to figure out which NFL Draft pick will be chosen to what team. As we all know that can go in so many different directions. As I was researching different mock draft teams I came across Bleacher Report Matt Miller’s version of the NFL Mock Draft. Take a look at the video and let me know if you agree with what he says. Also, I would like to know what are your picks for the NFL Mock Draft.

I don’t care where Toon gets drafted, just so long as the Broncos choose ANY of the other receivers who have PROVEN they can consistently CATCH the ball.  Toon’s one year, (and mediocre numbers,) doesn’t blow my skirt up.

  • Anonymous

But wouldn’t it be great if he did???  ;)

  • Man_one

Numbers schmumbers. His team runs the ball all day. He runs great routes, has great hands and is the best blocking wide reciever in the draft. He produced well as a sophomore and was injured as a junior.

I’ve been watching these as they come out on youtube and I have gathered that Matt Miller is on lsd. He has Kuechly going at like 27 or something nuts. If Kuechly was on the board, and the Broncos didn’t take what would be their starting mlb for 12 years, I would jump off something very tall onto something very hard.

Kuechly could potentially go in the top ten.
