Right from the get go the Divisional Round match up started out ugly for Denver, especially it’s secondary.  Tom Brady came out of the gate with a 7 yard touchdown pass to Wes Welker and finished with 6 touchdowns and 1 interception.  The one INT was a bright spot for the Broncos defense with Quinton Carter being in the right place at the right time.  Tebow and McGahee were able to march down a shortened field and punch it in with a rugby scrum that turned chippy.

Denver couldn’t capitalize on it’s next possession before half time to try and cut the Patriot lead down from 21-7 and the New England offense was able to strike twice before the break sucking the momentum out of the Broncos’ decision to defer until the 2nd half.  The media will surely question John Fox and his decision to let Tom Brady have the ball right out of the gate.  The Broncos were never able to find their feet.

These didn’t look like the solid unit that played Pittsburgh hard for 4 quarters last week.  They were hesitant and sloppy to tackle, letting 4 yard catches turn into 30 yard game changers.  Defensive coordinator Dennis Allen didn’t have an answer one month later for the incredible tight end duo of Gronkowski and Hernandez.  The two gouged the Broncos up and down the field a month later.  The Pats also used Hernandez as a half-back giving the Denver D fits much to the frustration of the orange and blue faithful.  A lot of credit should be given to New England’s defense.  They were by for the most effective unit against the Denver option, stifling Tebow, Johnson, Royal, and McGahee.  Regular viewers of this offense are used to seeing the option hit a wall but break out eventually, it never came tonight.

One of the first tasks of the offseason needs to be working on Orlando Franklin’s pass blocking.  The rookie right tackle struggled early and often with the pass rush and different blitz schemes.  The Pats saw something on tape, most likely the Lions game earlier in the year and used it to exploit the right side of the offensive line.  Denver had issues in the trenches most of the night, especially in pass blocking.  The frustration became visible in Tebow’s face late in the game.  Extended plays turned into huge losses rather than conversions.

However one of the said traits of a John Fox led team is that they will not give up until the final whistle.  The Broncos cleaned up in the 4th quarter, and started to slow Brady’s passing attack.  The offense drove to inside the 5 but the sloppy blocking came back to haunt them again as Tebow fought to find time to pass.   Von Miller started a shoving match with Matt Light and it exploded into a sideline pile up when Robert Ayers threw himself into the fray.  Clearly some boil over with Ayers going after Pat’s safety Patrick Chung who had hit and nearly injured Willis McGahee late out of bounds a few minutes earlier.  Ugly, and what Shannon Sharpe called classless, this was still a young team showing some fire no matter how badly they were beat.

Demaryius Thomas quietly had another solid game other than a drop on a crucial 3rd down conversion early in the game.  Bay-Bay finished with 6 receptions for 93 yards.  McGahee was able to pound the ball fairly well, making some tough 4, 5, and 7 yard gains.  However it was too much for “Fox Ball” to work when the opposing quarterback is breaking NFL playoff passing records on you.  McGahee finished with 76 yards and a touchdown.

In summary this was a young team that brought a knife to a gun fight.  Brady and company assembled itself into a juggernaut and it was too much for Denver to keep up.  Even if the team had played a perfect game with 100% effort much akin to the Steeler victory it still may have not been enough.  With the safety position worn as thin as filo dough a Hall of Fame QB will make easy work of the passing game.  Brady victimized backup David Bruton all night and things didn’t get easier when rookie Rahim Moore stepped in after another injury hit the unit.  Something could be said about Denver’s pass rush not getting to Brady all night.  However it should be argued that it wouldn’t matter as he is one of the best at laying the ball into a hole left by a blitz.  Rush him and open the big play or sit back and let him throw darts into tight spaces.  Pick your poison.  There is much to be learned in this loss and over-achieving season for a team that went from 4-10 to defeating the defending AFC champions in the playoffs.  Hold your heads high and see you in the off-season Bronco fans.

Good post. Yep young team with a long way too go that WAY overachieved this year.

I’m excited to see how Tebow comes back after having his 1st non-rookie full NFL offseason to work with the coaches.

Hopefully we draft another QB in the middle of the draft and Weber shows some improvement too.

The rest of our picks needs to be all secondary haha. Seriously though, it does!

  • http://www.broncotalk.net Josh Temple

I was just digesting what could’ve slowed down that barrage tonight.  Only thing might have been a healthy Dawkins and a corner better than Goodman.  Maybe a solid other safety?

  • VINCEMARINE

Not much could have slowed down the Pats. Brady was as focused as I have ever seen him. I do agree with you in that we need safety help bad! I think we need to look in free agency for one vice the draft! Saftey is like QB IMO, it’ s not something you learn on the fly. You need to develop the skills over a course of games. Also, the tackling needs to get better on the backend. Bruton and Carter missed so many tackles it wasnt even funny.

Here is a question for you…do you think Allen being interviewed for the STL HC job distracted him and the players?

  • Skdog

That was ugly, not much to get excited about other than, ??  uh,  at least we knocked the steelers out!!

Seriously though , in over their heads tonight. Out played at nearly every position, both sides of the ball, and coaching also, congrats to the patriots, they look unstoppable to me!

Well now the debate will begin again, Tebow ball or no Tebow ball? A   lot of wishes were granted  when Tebow was brought in to start in week 6, “let’s see what the kid can do” and “We need to see if Tebow is the future” ?

What a polarizing person? Love him or hate him Tebow is a winner and a fighter in my estimation!  I believe if surrounded by the right talent Tebow has the Right Stuff to Lead to winning seasons  and even more Division championships will come?

I know that surrounding any QB with the right talent can help any QB to succeed, and win, but I have seen Tebow elevate his game and lead his teammates to elevate their game as well! That is not a common trait that many QB’s possess?

As for our needs for the future, Defense Defense and more Defense!
To be able to shut down teams with a stifling front line and smothering secondary is the ultimate in my eyes!

What a fun season to be a Bronco fan! Thanks for the ride!

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_UAH7CAWY2TIWAPZX5MJHXWUZ2M Logan Berry

As far as I can tell Brady couldn’t be bothered to even shake Tebows hand after the game. What a jerk. Didn’t love seeing McDaniels in their box either. Looking forward to next year!

  • http://www.broncotalk.net Josh Temple

No not really, just would’ve liked to see a better option or adjustment for shutting down the tight ends.  Go old school like we did against the Chiefs and use Bailey as a TE lockdown.

  • flbronc

seemed to me like he was looking around for him.  plus it was like 6 degrees out.

  • anthony33

Tough to really analyze this team.  So many extreme ups and downs it hard to figure out what’s real.  I think to a certain extent that they were understandably a little too satisfied with last weeks win.  Right after the game the talk was all congratulatory and high fives.  Not one word about moving on the the next level.

In the end they are probably exactly what their record says, an average team. That’s okay as it’s much better than a year ago.

They still need another 2-3 very good drafts to get to the next level and hopefully Tebow will really develop over the off season.  You can say they need help at almost every position and not be far off.

All in all it was a fun ride and sooooo much better than the past 5 years.  Things we be different next year as expectations will rise.  With Elway at the helm I think they’ll be up for the challenge!!

    Thanks Broncs!

    the fight was pretty good

First off we didn’t clean up and slow them down in the 4th qtr, make no bones about it they called off the dogs and slowed themselves down. It was a practice session for them and that was clear with the way their play calling changed and was less aggressive. I for one thought while I was watching that it was nice for they way they did that and would not have had disdain for them to keep playing as they have to move forward.

This is NOT the kind of football I want to see for the next 10 years. Its frustrating and hard to watch… 1st down run play, 1st down run play, 1st down run play. If we can call it from our own couches all other teams can as well. If TT can not develop into an NFL QB (he is for sure not at this point) then we need to move on. That is not to say I don’t like him, I do.

He also needs to decide if you wants to be an NFL QB or if he wants to be a good will ambassador. I fully applaud what he does with these disabled kids and it really choked me up a little for what it is BUT there has to be separation with it. He says that is more important than playing football and it probably is… BUT you get to be Tom Brady by being Tom Brady and thats what I want from our QB, especially before the game!!! I’ve heard it time after time and it is 100% true – To be a completely successful NFL QB you have to be ALL in, not 1/2 in or 3/4 in ALL in and I don’t think he is. 100% all in.

NOW moving forward to the draft… I 100% feel that we need to draft a QB in the first round and move up to get one if need be… Tebow lovers – don’t start whining just so fast here, think about it for a second… He needs to have 100% hard first rate competition or he will not get better. If he is not pushed he will still get a little better but will not do what simple viable competition will. I was lucky when I coached HS football to have a couple different times I had a really good freshman to push my QB’s and TT NEEDS a really good freshman to push him, period!!!

The rest of the draft has to be concentrated on DEFENSE, especially DB’s, period. Maybe a LB and a DT in there but mostly on DB’s. Most of the DB’s we have have got to go and not just to special teams I mean have to go, cut flat out. Another set of rookies can do what those clowns do. And if Goodman even goes into another training camp here I might boycott him out on the streets…lol.

  • Aeropro

I think what needs to be discussed is the obvious. Tebows is one dimensional. Take away the option through pressure and he often collaspses. He just isn’t very good at decision making.

A tip of the hat to the Pats, they hit on all cylinders at the right time. I don’t envy Elway in the off season. Tebows IS a polarizing figure and I am not convinced he as the necessary QB skill set.

Another observation; the Pats have handed the play book of how to beat Denver to the rest of the NFL.

  • Anonymous

Sorry I have to disagree, the fight was exactly what Shannon Sharpe called it… Classless! And as good a guy as Von Miller seems to be I think a public apology is in order. He started that and it was not even close to the play. I understand frustration, for sure, but I also think Von is a better dude than that!!!

“As for our needs for the future, Defense Defense and more Defense! To be able to shut down teams with a stifling front line and smothering secondary is the ultimate in my eyes!”

Amen SK! Defense and competition at the QB spot, Real Competition at all spots really. We lack true depth all around and that isn’t good…

  • Anonymous

NO you are wrong, I think he was looking around for him as well. Brady isn’t a jerk at all… He is exactly what I want our QB to be… 100% all in and a true NFL QB. He looked for him and Tim looked for him, they are both the opposite of what you say. Class guys for sure!

    Dead on FL…

  • Anonymous

Well said!  I disagree with your draft strategy.  I would not concentrate on defense in the draft.  There are plenty of holes to fill on both sides of the ball.  Also some of the defensive holes will need to be filled through free agency.  I would not be surprised at all if Tebow was traded either.

  • Anonymous

Ant I think you really bring up a good point here. It will take 2-3 drafts to be “Really Good” and “Get to the next Level”. We lack depth badly, sure we have back ups but look at what a fall off the secondary is past Champ. Champ is a class guy and always has been, he would NEVER say something bad about his teammates, but  you know he has to be bummed when none of them can play at this level.

Any way, You are right its still a rebuilding going on here. We need not forget that while we won the Div we played WAAAY above ourselves! He I’m glad to win the div also but its the weakest div in the NFL. We cant even point and the NFC west as the weakest any more…lol. But it was much more fun than the last 5-7 years I think and as frustrating as TT ball is we have hope of moving forward now. And I agree also that with Elway at the helm things will get done, its already started!

  • Anonymous

Yep jd I have to agree that some of it can be filled through FA… And while I also agree we have holes on the Offense I think the defense is hurting worse. Bad in the secondary, just cant say that enough. I like how you disagree however, thank you, I respect that.

I don’t think TT will get traded, he is here at least through next year I would think. Personally I wish him the best but wouldn’t mind watching from afar. Of course you will now get called a hater for even suggesting it “might” happen…lol.

  • Hansen

    Doom & jd,

The draft needs to be approached with balance for starters and depth on both sides of the ball.

Doom, I just don’t see how the Broncos have the currency to move up in Rd1 for a Tier 1 QB.  I agree that they need a real QB for competition but it may happen through FA or lower rounds.

Re: a trade.  I agree with that too.  Depending on who it is it may provide some additional higher picks which is really what they need.

  • Anonymous

Hansen you may be right, we may not have enough “juice” to move up but it “needs” to be a consideration, I have to agree with what was brought out on the other thread – There just isn’t enough “juice” in free agency at QB either.

However, as much as I’d like to see us draft a QB in the 1st, if we cant it wouldn’t hurt my feelings if we went for a guy like Stephon Gilmore and went QB in the second.

BUT our 1st round pick HAS to do one of 2 things in my opinion… Push the hell out of Tebow OR start at DB. That simple!

  • Anonymous

If we move up to draft a QB in the 1st I’ll shoot a random homeless bum in the leg and cry as I apologize and shoot him again! lol :p

I’m all for drafting a QB but not drafting another 3 – 4 year project in the 1st round to push Tebow.

Pickup a David Carr or someone in free agency to do that and give Weber his shot and hope that whomever you draft as a QB in round 5 can progress with the practice squad just like we hope Weber did this year.

75% of 1st round QB’s are pure busts. We may have had 2 of them on our team this year and we may still have 1 next year. Let’s not go back to 2 haha

An ugly loss. My thoughts at the end of the season

Coaching: John Fox deserves COY consideration. If you had told anyone that the Broncos would be 8-8, division winners and win a playoff game after the 4-12 disaster last year they would have laughed themselves silly. He took one of the worst teams in the league without any offseason work outs and turned them into a 0.500 team, managed one of the nastiest QB situations the league has seen and still kept the locker room together. Hats off to Allen and McCoy. Allen coached the best defense Denver has seen in years. McCoy scrapped a traditional NFL offense and completely rebuilt the offense on the fly and kept team teams guessing for almost two months while Tebow learned on the job. I hope other NFL teams who are looking for head coaches stay far far away from both of these guys, because we need the continuity.

Offense: Mcghee was the best FA signing since Dawkins. He was the offensive MVP and was still popping off long runs last night. The WR  core is O.K. but we have no deep threat now that Lloyd is gone. The T.E.s are promising, but did not contribute as much as people thought they would. The O-line came together and played well most the season. Their run blocking is some of the best in the league, but passing blocking especially Franklin on Tebow’s blind side needs a lot of work. Beadles needs to go to the bench. He is only effective at the second level when he pulls. Terrible at the point of attack.

Defense: The key to the win streak was a defense that created pressure on the QB using Miller on one side and Elvis on the other. Against average and poor QBs this pressure resulted in turnovers and excellent field position, but against better QBs who can react well to the blitz (Rodgers, Brady, Hassleback, etc.) the second level in the defense was exposed as a slow and inexperienced unit. When Miller broke his thumb that left Elvis as the only serious sack threat. Reports this morning that Elvis was hurt last night. I don’t know what we we can do at safety. Two draft picks from last year have not worked out as planned and I would hate to see more picks spent this year. We need help here badly. Don’t get me started on MLB. It’s been a hole since Wilson retired and I do not see a solution on the current roster.

Special Teams: Overall very happy with this unit. Best I’ve seen in a long time. Better than any unit Shanahan put on the field. Other than the FUBAR NE game, they all played well all season. A good sign that the second and third string guys are NFL caliber players although they may not be starters.

Tebow, Tebow, Tebow: I have no idea what we have in this guy. I don’t like a completion percentage south of 50. I don’t like that he struggles to make reads quickly and deliver the ball quickly. He has a beautiful long ball throw, but the teams that didn’t blitz him showed that he can’t throw into tight windows. When the opposing team does not blitz it takes away the other type of pass he does well, the screen pass. He has earned the right to be the starter next year, but the FO would be foolish to not draft a QB this year for two reasons. Tebow’s hard style of play increases the risk of injury. Ask Indy how important the second string QB is, and if Tebow isn’t the guy, waiting until year three to start ‘your guy’ in a five year rebuilding plan is not going to work. I have my doubts how much coaching can fix his problems.

    Poor bum dude…lol.

Not all first round QB’s are 3-4 year projects though. I think TT is more than a 3-4 year project and your right we will have that one still next year.

Trog, really, David Carr??? That made me sad on two levels. 1. David Carr – he couldn’t push his grandma in a QB competition. 2. That you, The Trogger, would actually want a dude like that any where near our practice facility…lol.

There are enough QB’s in this draft that moving up to get would push TT walking in the door!

This last paragraph was spot on and very well stated.

McGhee might be the offensive equal FA pick up to Dawkins! Now if we could some how get Ed Reed…lol. Nice post Leo!

  • http://www.broncotalk.net Josh Temple

I disagree completely on 2 fronts.  First, Allen adjusted Harris in the coverage toward the end of the game and it seemed to help close the valve a little bit.  It put his solid tackling to use where Bruton and Carter struggled.  Yes, the Pats ran the ball more but Denver all of a sudden remembered what it is to wrap up.  Schlereth said it best the other night, hitting in the cold is all about will power.

2nd, Tebow has more than earned his position to lead this team like it or not.  I really don’t feel like that’s even debatable at this point.  Also, with Barkley going back to USC and 3 very QB hungry teams picking at the top there is no opportunity there.  It would be a complete waste to trade up and use picks that would provide us the valuable depth we were so desperately lacked last night.

That said, I really do like the idea of drafting Moore in the mid to late rounds and grooming his a project if Tim doesn’t work out in the long term.  But for the short term, Tim is our guy going forward.  Lets see what an offseason can do.

  • Formerly Frustrated

TT didn’t play great, but I seem to remember dropped passes and pressure in his face all game. Even if he played well, and even if our rushing game could have gotten going like it did in the first meeting, we still lose that game. Outside of Luck and an upside QB in RG3, there is no top tier QB to be had in the first round, so why trade up or take one. D is still a work in progress, we have little line depth on either side of the ball, we need more depth in the backfield, we need another impact receiver and or a true TE target. QB should be addressed in the 3rd round or later, there are good prospects there that would not require a reach, or a trade up for someone that we probably won’t get. The word is the Skins and Browns covet RG3 and want to get to no.2 to get him. Initial thoughts are you take the Julio Jones deal, and add on to it. That is 5+ draft picks to move up 2-4 spots respectively. Denver picks in the mid 20s, maybe 25, so what does it take for them to get that high? Ryan Tannenhill is a one yearn starter who we would be stupid to trade up for. Lets remember that this team overachieved this year, that the QB switch was beneficial. I will end with this though, TT has 16 starts now, one playoff win and no true offseason to develop. Lets see where he goes from here, bring in depth and plan for the future (if he doesn’t build on this season), but lets not panic. The last thing I want is a deal where you use 2 high draft picks on a bust QB when you have a lot of other areas to build (Oakland anybody?)

Thanks 2011 Broncos for making it fun this year! Go Broncos

+2 SK and Doom. It’s no secret that QB’s need to brought in through either the draft, FA or trades. Outside of Matt Flynn (who will cost alot of cash), the FA QB pool is pretty weak. I’d take a look at Jason Campbell (the Raider who got lost amidst his injury and bringing Palmer in).

Drafting a QB is OK, but I think that it will likely turn into a project QB, and we already have one of those.

I say we go after defense in the early rounds of the draft. A defensive tackle and secondary. There are also some good ones to be had in FA.

I see where you are coming from Josh but Tebow has FAR from earned the right to start next year! He played well in some games against worst teams than us and well against the steelers and that earns the right to start the following year??? I don’t see how that could make sense to any one. Remember this is the what have you done lately NFL. The ONLY think Tebow has “earned” is a shot to compete next year.

And while there may have been adjustments in the 4th qtr they laid off, period. Any one that cant see that just simply cant see past the orange colored classes. I can see where some might think it looked like we tightened up but it just isn’t so. I wish it were but we didn’t. And Harris isn’t even a nickle player yet, 3rd stringer. He is one of those guys that should be kept as a ST players at best!

You got that right Josh… The Ed reference was kind of just joking, mostly referring to his similarity to Dawkins and his leadership on and off the field.

Just watched an interview with Ray, it seemed like if they went on to win the SB he would come back and if not then Retire. The second part was more reading into what he said but he made it pretty clear that if they win it, he’d be back.

TT didn’t play great, but I seem to remember dropped passes and pressure in his face all game. Even if he played well, and even if our rushing game could have gotten going like it did in the first meeting, we still lose that game.

Outside of Luck and an upside QB in RG3, there is no top tier QB to be had in the first round, so why trade up or take on? D is still a work in progress, we have little line depth on either side of the ball, we need more depth in the backfield, we need another impact receiver and or a true TE target. QB should be addressed in the 3rd round or later, there are good prospects there that would not require a reach, or a trade up for someone that we probably won’t get. The word is the Skins and Browns covet RG3 and want to get to no.2 to get him. Initial thoughts are they need to take the Julio Jones deal, and add on to it. That is 5+ draft picks (2 first rounders) to move up 2-4 spots respectively. Denver picks in the mid 20s, maybe 25, so what does it take for them to get that high? We should not trade up. Ryan Tannenhill is a one year starter who we would be stupid to trade up for. The last thing I want is a deal where you use 2 high draft picks on a bust QB when you have a lot of other areas to build (Oakland anybody?)Thanks 2011 Broncos for making it fun this year! Go Broncos

I’ll back you on drafting a QB, but not moving up to get one. We have many more needs before we reach on a QB. Maybe a Tyler Wilson out of Arkansas (if he even declared) or Nick Foles (Arizona), if either one fall to us in the 3rd round.

Why do you post the same thing 3 times in a row???

    hahaha!

Well I said “like David Carr”. It’s not that Carr would necessarily push Tebow. I think pushing him is kind of overrated as nobody can push Tebow harder than that kid pushes himself.

It would give both Teebs and Weber a smart veteran QB though that could help him on the sidelines, in the film room etc.

Unfortuantely ALL 1st round QB’s are 3 – 4 year projects except in the absolute rarest of cases and even at that they are about a 75% chance to bust and 24% chance to be average.

Sam Bradford is average. Everyone knocked Orton for being unclutch but Bradford was even worse than Orton in the 4th last year. No improvement this year either.

Matt Ryan – Could he suck any more in the playoffs or in any big game for that matter?

Mark Sanchez – No work ethic, inaccurate, no heart.

I got ya Bryan… Like I said I wouldn’t mind drafting Stephon Gilmore first or if there Dre Kirkpatrick. I like Gilmore for his size and aggressiveness. At his size its odd to have great run suport AND cover skills, not to mention his return skills. I like this guy a bunch.

If you’ve been here a while you may remember that I wasn’t thrilled at picking a CB (Petersen) first and that high in the draft but at this spot I will be the guy that preaches CB till the pick is made.

If of course we don’t go QB…lol.

Silly me read through both of your posts before I realized it was the same thing LOL..

I agree on alot of it tho. Fox, Allen and McCoy did great with what they had and inserting a whole new offense for Tebow. The play selection was terrible tho. Especially the 1st down plays. Run. Uhh, how bout we mix it up a little bit more? Continuity would be huge if all three remained here.

Tebow…I don’t know what to stay at this point that we don’t already know.

Yeah I know what you mean with those guys, I knew it with out even reading that… And I think you miss my point of pushing TT. He needs competition and not BS competition either serious contend for the job competition. TT isn’t 100% in when he consistently says other things are more important. You don’t get to be great in the NFL by say other things are more important. They are, for sure, but with in “it”.

Sorry… I don’t dislike the guy but I just don’t think I will ever think he is the future for the Broncos, I want more than he can give at the position. I just do not understand how all you peeps think that Tebow Ball is exciting and the way to go. Really! You like that crap? Its exactly why I don’t watch collage football any more!

I don’t, in my heart, think he will EVER carry a 60% completion ratio. I know I know there are drops, thats as annoying as hearing the whole hater routine, ALL QB’s have dropped balls so STOP with that already. But I do respect you dudes that do think he is our future. However blinded you are ;-).
(yes the last part is funning you)

Thats funny Ref… Yeah I’m pulling for them also, but the Ravens might be to much for them (Yates) on the road.

I’ve been a daily reader since Shanny was axed. Haven’t posted much tho.

Kirkpatrick would be a solid pick..I kinda liked Minnifield and Janoris Jenkins (if the due can stay out of trouble). Also liked the SS at Bama..Barron I think his name was.

I’ll probably get hollered at, but I wouldn’t mind…in fact I would encourage it, bringing Peyton Hillis back.

Anybody else want Adam Sandler’s remote more than me? LOL..I have questions that need answers ASAP! Tebow, Moreno, the draft, free agency, OTA’s, the Combine…

Tell ya what..I feel much more optimistic going into this off season than in the previous 3 years combined.

haha well I HATE Tebow ball. Denver’s offense doesn’t look anything like Florida’s and if anything McCoy is hurting the offense and stunting the growth of Tebow.

That option quit working 4 weeks ago and they are still sticking with it.

People seem to have a problem with Tebow separating football from life and using it as a stage to bring awareness to people.

I don’t. Look Tom Brady wants to run and screw supermodels and make babies after the game. I’m fine with that.

Tebow wants to go make 1 person who has had it rough, feel really special. I’m fine with that too.

Screwing Super Models and helping people are both more important than football lol

And as long as when Tebow is at practice and in the game that is where his head is at, and I think it is, that’s great.

I doubt anyone puts in more work time into improving his game than Tebow does.

I’d much rather have Tebow who is just keeping it real than a guy like Sanchez or Freeman who says all the right football things but really doesn’t walk the talk.

Tebow doesn’t talk it, he just walks it.

All that being said, I’m not claiming Tebow is the future. I like the guy and hope he is.

But I just feel like we need to be focusing more on defense and depth than trying to play around with another rookie QB this year.

My god, if we trade up it’s like setting ourselves back another year on depth and the odds are we get a QB that isn’t worth anything.

If Mark Sanchez can take the Jets to back to back AFC Championship games than Tebow will certainly be good enough next year to make the Broncos playoff bound once again.

Well that’s my two cents anyways. Now let’s just hope at least one of us is right because if we are both wrong, we’re screwed! haha!
