The Denver Broncos have won six straight games and will host the New England Patriots at Sports Authority Field @ Mile this week.  And after fighting with NBC and the NFL to keep the game from being flexed to Sunday Night Football, CBS will be broadcasting the game.

Chances are, you’re going to get the game, too:

The game of course is being referred to as Tebow vs. Brady, cue the comparisons, ESPN:

ESPN pointed out on Monday evening that in their first eleven career starts, Brady had a better comp. percentage while Tebow had a better TD-to-INT ratio. (Screenshot of ESPN's SportsCenter)

The game is considered by many to be the game of the week.  To call the game, CBS is bringing out the big guns in Jim Nantz (play-by-play) and Phil Simms (color commentary).

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. (MT).

Phill Simms hates the Broncos I don’t know why there are bringing him.

Phil Simms and Jim Nantz are CBS’ #1 guys.

Man, I hope we can start hot for once! The Pats have a week defense, so it’s possible that our running game will be decent in the 1st half. Fox said he wants to keep our ground game going instead of letting Tebow play up tempo, so don’t expect Tebow to have great numbers in the 1st half yet again. I’m already pumped for this game!!! Sunday can’t come fast enough!

we have to run the ball well.  it’s not an option.  if we don’t we give brady too many possessions. we will get a couple of stops on defense i am sure, but he’s going to score on some as well.

    I hate living in Arizona.

    You ain’t lying!
We’ll have a few stops, so it’s imperative that we don’t squander our opportunities, cause this is a team that if you let them, they’ll pound the nail in the coffin by halftime!

I think we can beat the Patriots, but we’ll need to be a whole lot better on offense than we were vs the bears.

So sorry man.  There’s a reason why I use “stuckinraiderland.”  I feel your pain, but thankfully will escape that curse this week!

I think the Broncs D, if playing like they can, with the stars in alignment, with a little gift from Ol’ St Nick, can hold the Pat O.  Not stop them but keep them in range. The big question will be can Denver T-O take advantage early of the Pats crappy D.  We will have to match Brady td for td.

Dude, what is it with AZ? Can’t keep time with the rest of the states and now has to redefine the definition of Sunday afternoon entertainment.  Jeezzzz.

As a pats fan living here on cape cod, I have to agree. Tom Brady and the offense can be stopped but it is damn difficult to do. Your best shot, run the ball for short gains, only throw when you NEED to (we may be 32 in D but very good with getting the pick) no wild throws from tebow or its ours, and above all control the clock and time of possession. We are not one dimensional as most think we are(pats tend to show up when they feel like it sometimes and that includes D) Looking forward to a good game and been a pats fan since it was called sullivan stadium here(awhile ago!)

I could never figure that out.  Nantz is more suited to golf and Simms changes his mind one second to the next.  Oh well…

  • Jalau

Tebow should have some time to throw because I dont think wilfork and carter are gonna be enough to slow him down. If he gets the chance to throw hit deep in the secondary and stay away from arrington and mccourty! (those 2 will pick it off!) They have a hard time staying with receivers but if the ball is underthrown even a little bit, he’s gonna regret it. Best bet is for him to overthrow a little so its either gonna be a catch or a drop.(rather than a pick)

Oh yeah, almost forgot. Don’t get Gronked!! (or welkered for that matter) Good luck!

I’m curious how Brady will respond to getting smacked around a bit by Von Miller. Not to sound like we’re gonna make him (Brady) look like a chump, cause nobody does that, but from what I’ve seen over the last 12 years, when Brady doesn’t play well, it is because he gets hit early and hurried often.

We’ve seen our (Broncos) defense rattle almost all QBs they’ve faced since Tebow took over. Miller, Dumerville, DJ, etc bring the heat and smack QBs around. As the game goes on, those same QBs start getting happy feet, starting throwing quickly, and start leaving the pocket even when they don’t have to. I think this is our only shot at beating Brady. Miller needs to get in his head and make him think that if he stands in the pocket, he’s gonna get abused.

If we can do that, we have a shot. Oh, and can someone please cover Gronkowski!!!! Like us saying on each and ever punt last week “DON’T KICK IT TO HESTER!!!!”, we will be saying “PUT SOMEONE ON THEIR TE!!!”

I’m totally jacked for this game already, can’t wait to see it play out. I’m almost believing what Skip Bayless said…. “The winner of this game will play in the Super Bowl.” If we beat the Pats, I don’t care if you hate Tebow or not, you gotta say that the Broncos are for real. If the Pats win, the ammo is there that we can’t beat the teams we will face weekly in the playoffs. 5 more days is all we have to wait to get a bit more clarity.

    GO BRONCOS!!!
