Denver Reportedly in the Running for FB Vontae Leach

Rumors and news website Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Broncos are One of Five teams pursuing free agent full back Vontae Leach of the Houston Texans.  Leach is arguable considered the best blocking fullback in the league by many and was a huge reason for Arian Foster’s success last season.  The other 4 teams include the Texans desperately trying to hold on to him, the Cowboys, Giants, and Ravens.  Many could argue (I being one) that Denver hasn’t had a true blocking fullback since the Howard Griffith Super Bowl days.  This is one to watch closely Bronco fans as this signing could add a huge boost to the team’s woeful back field production.

    I also heard that we were targeting Le'Ron McClain.  I'd gladly take either one of these guys.

    Of every free agent discussed this far, I want this one the most.  I find fullbacks the most underrated of all the positions.

    Yes … this would be a great pickup for the broncos. The guy is a beast.   I agree we havent had a true blocking fb since howard griffith, but i did like when we had kyle johnson …i thought he was pretty good in my opinion

    Love this move.  Take whatever money you were going to piss away on Willis McGahee and throw it Vontae's way.

    Griff was a monster in the passing game too…

    The current front office has not demonstrated the savvy to land someone like this.  Hope it happens, but would bet it won't.

    The only way were going to get any quality players is to overpay them and we don't have the money to do it….
