In a quest to see who will be the number two pick (and possibly number 36, 46 and so on…) the Denver Broncos‘ three headed lion bronco consisting of general manager Brian Xanders, head coach John Fox and Vice President of football operations John Elway headed to Auburn, Alabama to see quarterback Cam Newton defensive tackle Nick Fairley‘s Pro Day.

That didn’t stop the trio from smoke screening critiquing Newton a little bit (okay done with the strike-through text, but if we don’t link to the Denver Post’s video, who will? Nor would it allow us to critique Lindsay Jones’ (an Emory graduate) classification of Auburn and Alabama as smaller colleges; we’re only kidding Lindsay).

Next up on the tour de force is a trip to College Station, Texas to attend TAMU aka Texas A&M’s Pro Day tomorrow to see linebacker Von Miller and then to Alabama’s Pro Day to see defensive tackle Marcell Dareus on Thursday (missing defensive end Da’Quan Bowers‘ Pro Day in Clemson (also on Thursday)). Before any conspiracies begin Patrick Peterson/LSU’s Pro Day is Monday, March 14th; the same day as notable perennial NFL funnels as Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Montana, and Newberry.

And if any of you local Colorado fans are thinking that the Broncos may be interested in one of the Colorado Buffalos or Colorado State Rams their Pro Days are also tomorrow, March 9th. Let us not get into the University of Wyoming, but Nebraska’s Pro Day is Thursday, March 10th.

    Patrick Peterson vs Marcell Darius……

After we cut Bannon, I'm not sure, since i'm still on the Peterson bandwagon

DT is a huge need… but Patrick Peterson is such a beast!

I still have to go with Dareus, especially after Bannons dismissal. I say we also sign one of the FA DTs (Branch/Watson from AZ, Coffield from NY, etc, all of them are young and big). We need D line help and unfortunately cant have it all.

ya know i read that tommy harris is a free agent this year. he's had a few injury plagued seasons but if he can stay healthy, that man is a beast. he could really help us out up front. to me its between dareus and von miller. peterson is soooo talented, but for me, our need at DL/LB is way to important. Inm torn between miller and dareus because on one side u got a big, strong, surprisingle fast 300+ DL who can not only stop the run but can rucsh the passer effectively, and on the other hand theres an undersized DE who look like a beast in the senior bowl as he started at LB for the first real time in his footbal career. von miller is soooooo dynamic and can line up at end and rush the QB, line up at LB and drop back in coverage and has the speed and tackling ability to get sideline to sideline and make tackles. They both can help us stop the run and the pass. i wish there was a way for us to get both.
