News broke not too long after Kyle released his dissertation on the Denver Broncos free agents heading into the 2011 season that Denver is in fact targeting free agent O.J. Atogwe.

At only 29-years old Atogwe is a player who was franchised by his former team (the St. Louis Rams) in 2009, but spent much of that season on injured reserve. His contract simply got to be too much for the Rams and they cut him less than a year after he signed a five-year contract with $32-million with the Rams.

Atogwe has met with several teams since being cut by St. Louis, but is the first free agent being brought in under the John Fox era in Denver. He would automatically bring the median age down in the Broncos secondary by years. Coupled with a possible draft pick of Patrick Peterson Denver could have the best secondary in the league on paper.

I think Signing a guy like Atogwe would mean target D-Line in the Draft.

Thank God! He is too good a talent to overlook, pair him with Champ, Dawkins, and hopefully Peterson and look out.

great move! i thought that when he became a free agent denver should grab him.

dammmnnnnnnnnnnn a secondary of bailey, atogwe, hpefully peterson and dawkins and we should have the best secondary in the league

Atogwe or Weddle would be a good pick up.

Thanks again to Champ for making a good decision that will help us attract the best free agents. Champ has made millions upon millions, and after I moved to 19 cities in my 45 years, I can tell you that choosing quality of life in a quality location for a little less money makes all the difference. Looks like another Bronco jersey in the Hall of Fame…Good news all the way around. Atogwe should talk to Champ.

Wouldn't be a bad move at all to have Champ and O.J. have a conversation. I don't know that Champ would be that invested in the team this close to the league year ending.

Im starting to think we could trade down with Dallas or Minn. Someone is going to try to move up and grab a QB. I think moving down and getting a few more picks might work too. If Bowers is off the board and we are not going to take Peterson we should move down and take the picks. Give me the Vikings picks at 12 and 43 for our #2 if we dont take Bowes or Peterson.

eric? Eric Weddle is a free agent? oh he's a great pick up, im sure he cost less than O.J

It would be a great idea to have O.J. and Champ have a small talk. However, I do not know if Champ would be that dedicated to the team this close to the season's ending.

If Champ is a professional as he admits he yes, he will give 100% to the team, despite the fact that it is the close of the season
