The Denver Broncos will again tap into the veteran free agent market this week to address their injury-riddled running backs corps.

Former Oakland Raiders running back Justin Fargas is flying into Denver tonight to take a physical and finalize a deal with the Broncos, per multiple reports.

Fargas, 30, played in twelve games for the Raiders in 2009, starting four. He’s averaged under four yards per carry since 2007, his best year, where he rushed for 1,009 yards and averaged 4.5 ypc. In seven years in Oakland, Fargas (6-1, 220) totaled 3,369 yards for a 4.1 yard average and 10 touchdowns.

Fargas was released by the Raiders following the 2009 season and has been a free agent since.

Justin Fargas has manhandled the Broncos since 2007 (yes in 2009 he was a non-factor, but by the second time the Raiders played the Broncos so were they).

As I said on Twitter, Fargas is what Peyton Hillis hopes to be when Hillis gets good =P I'm looking forward to Fargas. Hopefully he passes his physical.

Still begs the question, what about Brian Westbrook if the Broncos are willing to spend money on injury cases and players serving four game suspensions.

Good signing. McDaniels doesn't sit around waiting for things to happen. He goes out and makes things happen. Just wait and see he will make this team good. He is too smart and works too hard for things not to work after a while.

I'm pretty smart, work hard and am over 30 too. Can I make the team?

    lmfao trog

Absolutely best offensive FA pickup! Fargas has been the Faid's best RB.
I don't see Buck coming back.

He's got some miles, but I think he's exactly what we need right now. Perhaps some insight into why the Raiders keep beating us at home. **Queue crazy raider fan to comment about how the Donks suck. RAYIDER NATION!!1!!11!!”**

so the question is, do we keep white if fargas passes the physical? white is banged up and suspended… fargas is just banged up.
