Jamal Williams still in Denver

UPDATE: Jamal Williams has agreed to a three-year deal with the Denver Broncos.

Although the NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora has reported that 348-lbs. behemoth/nose tackle Jamal Williams will visit the New Orleans Saints Tuesday, as of 1:15 p.m. MT the Denver Post’s Mike Klis is reporting that Williams is still in Denver, negotiating with the Broncos.

UPDATE 3:20 p.m. MT — CBS4’s Vic Lombardi tweets that Williams is still in Denver, negotiating with the Broncos.

We’re guessing Josh McDaniels isn’t concerned over Williams missing a flight.

Not that anyone can blame the Broncos for not getting a deal done yet — they’ve been busy. Earlier Tuesday the team announced the signing of former New England Patriots defensive end Jarvis Green.

The Broncos may not be letting Williams slip between their fingers after all. We’ll keep you posted…

    Jason La Confora is not a very good reporter always a day late and a dollar short. We need to be careful with this older guy, big guy good player in the past, jsut hope we still wants to and can play.

    it's all about the structure of his contract… not too long and not too big! even if we do sign him, i'd like to see us draft a nt in april.

    I think this would be great experience for a guy like Chris Baker. This would be the equivalent to letting a QB sit the bench behind a vet for a few years.

    If they sign Williams, then you have 5(Bannan, Williams, Fields, Thomas, Baker). I am presuming they move Thomas to DE and will keep 2-3 NT like last year, which makes me think if they draft a NT, then Baker and Fields are officially on the bubble.

    marcus thomas is not a nose tackle. i have a feeling hes on his way out.

    at least he beat his cocaine case in Denver. He should have provided travis henry with some legal advice. :)
