NYJ IND

MIN NO

An abbreviated breakdown of the playoff games this week, with picks as we look to improve on our 5-3 record. Your picks in the comments.

Indianapolis Colts (-8.5) at New York Jets — Like a broken record, I’ll mention how the Indianapolis Colts are a lot more than just Peyton Manning. Maybe that Jets’ top defense will make Peyton struggle, but they’re still going to have to put some points up against a swift and physical Colts D. I don’t like their chances, and see the Indy D forcing turnovers and even scoring some points to make the difference. Pick: 24-13, Indianapolis

Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints (-3.5) — I’m tempted to pick the Vikings based on the line of scrimmage. I like Minnesota’s offensive line against that Saints D, and I like the ability of their front seven to cause problems (not that the Saints are any slouches at the line of scrimmage). However, the Saints’ home field advantage and plethora of weapons on offense will neutralize that potential Vikings edge, especially with Drew Brees under center. And I just can’t count on Lord Favre in the clutch. Close game. Pick: 35-30, New Orleans

If defense wins championships, what the hell happened? Oh yeah, Peyton Manning.

If it's Colts Saints I'll go nuts. I told my roommate at the end of last season (like the day of the broncos loss to san diego) that it would be saints colts.

  • MrEast

You're really close to that T-Money. Six fumbles so far? Dear lord.

NICE!!!! Favre chokes it up along with the rest of the Vikings!!! HAHAHA. Anyways, Drew Brees and all of New Orleans deserves this. Brees is an incredible leader and an elite player. Now I hope he can lead the Saints to Miami and knock out them Colts! Very good game. Too bad Denver didn't make it, but there is always next year. Can you guys imagine having a championship celebration here in Denver after all these years? That would be crazy!! Hopefully that day will come soon!!! Go Broncos!!!

    I had Colts Vikes!!!
Arg what a BS REF job those last two calls!! The PI was questionable but that last catch? Are you kidding? That ball SO hit the ground!

Sad to see such a great game end like that!!

I support same sex marriage! Any lesbian girls who would like to meet other girls here… It is really difficult to meet a lesbian girl in real life. We should not stay alone, go __lescupids.com__ and meet a lesbian baby for friendship~now~~

Even at 40 with the most talent he has ever been surrounded by, Favre still does just enough to ensure his team won't win a Super Bowl. Amazing.

I comment of the great ADA sport will unite the world. Thanks to the Internet and mobile phones, there are no political, religious, bureaucratic or territorial borders

  • WhidbeyBronco

ouch, dick. Did you want them to kick the 56 yarder?

Ok I guess he shouldn't have greased the ball he handed to his backs either.

  • TheTroglodyte

lol ouch, touchy. Are you related to the guy or something? Did he visit you in the hospital when you were a kid?

I'm just saying he has a long and storied history of screwing up in big games. It's only fitting he ends the last two years on interceptions in the NFC playoffs. I enjoy watching the guy play. I admire him sticking his 40 year old body out there every Sunday and not missing a game. He is still a flop artist in the playoffs. Hell the guy has played in 24 career playoff games and including last nights he has managed a total of 4, 300 yard games. For a gunslinger, that isn't too hot.

  • WhidbeyBronco
