Previewing, breaking down, and picking the winners of this weekend’s playoff action. Your picks and game discussion in the comments.

GB ARI
Packers (11-5) at Cardinals (10-6)
2:40 p.m. MT
The Line: Packers by 3

The Story: Rematches, rematches, rematches. This marks the third game this weekend featuring teams that just played last week. The Packers took it to the Cardinals 33-7, but Arizona took the week off. How will they fare this week as the home underdogs against possibly the hottest team in the NFC, who went 7-1 down the stretch?

The Breakdown: The Packers are perhaps the best blitzing team in the league, and they have a talented secondary highlighted by Defensive Player of the Year candidate CB Charles Woodson. They will get after Kurt Warner, who will be without WR Anquan Boldin and try to throw behind an offensive line that has struggled of late. On offense, Green Bay has been stellar down the stretch, particularly at quarterback, where Aaron Rodgers will make his first playoff start.

The Pick: Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt played the disrespect card all the way to the Super Bowl last year, and nearly won there, too. As home dogs, that card will be available again, and there’s a mentality in Arizona of “now or never” that permeates the players’ interviews and tweets. At home, against a blitz-happy Packers team, I see Warner able to find Larry Fitzgerald in one-on-one coverage. Also, I’ve adopted the Cardinals as my “Team O’ the Playoffs,” so this pick is considerably subjective. I want ARI to win. Cardinals 31, Packers 24.

Strange weekend of play-off games. The only one worth watching was this one.

I thought is was very odd that 3 of the 4 basically ended up being blowouts. Hopefully next weeks games will be better.

Man, I wish we had Rogers as our QB.

incredible game!! Rogers truly is the Favre replacement they are so lucky to have! Funny how years on the bench learning is still the best recipe for QB success. ….oh yeah, and excellent WRs…

Glad to hear that Kyle! That's my “little brother team” as I like to refer to them as. I grew up in No. AZ in the 70s as a Bronco fan. Channel 2 (NBC) in Flagstaff almost always would carry the Denver games, so there are a lot of Bronco fans in (from) AZ… I've rooted for both teams since '88 when Arizona finally got their own team, but never had that much to cheer about concerning the Redbirds until these last few years. I'm psyched for them once again after a real heartbreak last year… GO AZ!

I was there against the Eagles last year on the goalline, 4th row. What at atmosphere that was when everyone was chanting… SU-PER-BOWL, SU-PER-BOWL, SU-PER-BOWL… for the last couple of minutes.
