Our weekly perusal around the Interwebz for water cooler fodder.

ESPN: 4th
The bounce-back game after the first loss is another tough one: home against Pittsburgh.

BroncoTalk: 4th
Glaring Stat: Despite allowing 30 points against the Ravens, Denver’s defense is ranked second in the NFL for points allowed.

CBS: 4th
After their first loss, here come the champions. The Pittsburgh Steelers will provide another stiff test for the Broncos. They need to throw it better. Period.

FOX: 4th
It was bound to happen. The skeptics were waiting patiently the past few weeks for the Broncos to come back to reality. But don’t kick too much dirt on ’em, it’s never a good idea to overreact to one game — win or loss. They faced a Ravens team sporting “mad dog” syndrome, coming off three straight tough losses and a bye week to think about it. Now the SB champs come to town Monday, so get ready to either jump on or off the bandwagon next week.

NFL.com: 4th-7th
Eight panelists post their individual power rankings.

USA Today: 6th
Still have top-rated defense to match vs. Steelers on Monday.

Better than expected, up until I got to NFL.com I've decided power ranking were put on this earth just do put fans in to a mad rage.

Anyone can be forgiven for losing at Baltimore and even for losing bad… How they react afterwards though, especially on a primetime home game against the champs, is a very good barometer of the true quality of this team.

Not saying it a must win, but a win would most likely be a sign of good things to come in the second half of the season. A loss would most likely signal a long hard fight to make the playoffs, if even just as a wildcard or division winner without a bye… So we need this one!

The game was closer than the final score. After the kickoff return for a touchdown to start the 2nd half Denver responded well. They just seemed to run out of steam. When it was 3rd and long and Doom jumped offside then the Broncs had another penalty it just seemed to snowball from there.
Pittsburgh is beatable. Hard to believe Denver is a 3 point dog at home. Give me a break! Broncos win 27-17!

It would be great to come off with a win MNF but you know who I am interested in this weekend? Chargers. Are they for real? Can they actually beat anyone of substance? I will be worried if SD looks good and takes down the NYG. I do not want this Div to be close at all. Hate those guys.

I am not panicked at all about last week or frankly even if we lose this week. This is the hardest part of the schedule and I think we can figure ourselves out now so when we make the playoffs we know what to do.

Let's look at the Titans from last year and I think the Colts this year, you learn a lot from losses (Steelers had the hardest schedule last year and finished 12-4). Losses can be a good thing, as long we keep well ahead of SD we will see the Ravens again and hopefully know how to react.

Totally agree. It may not be the most important game of the season for us to win but I think it will definitely show us what this team is made off
