BT Scout: Dallas Cowboys MNF open thread

Come scout the Denver Broncos‘ Week 4 opponent tonight as the Dallas Cowboys face the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football! We’re looking for some insight from the game and to spark a conversation about Denver’s upcoming foe.

    WE WERE JUST SITTING HERE WATCHING MNF & HAD A GREAT IDEA FOR AN EXTRA EDGE AGAINST DALLAS NEXT WEEK. ATTENTION ALL WOMEN PLANNING TO ATTEND DENVER/DALLAS GAME THIS COMING SUNDAY. EVERYONE SHOULD EITHER DYE THEIR HAIR BLONDE OR BUY A BLONDE WIG BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW TONY ROMO HAS A ONE TRACK BLONDE MIND!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I just turned the game on, watching Delhomme going to work on the Dallas secondary. Kyle, what do you think is the biggest strength and weakness of the 'Boys?

    I was supposed to be writing a paper but I can't help but scout these Boys..and they look very impotent on offense

    there inability to create a turnover…their inability to to punch it in the endzone

    Yeah they had two instances on the one where they couldn't get in. Part was questionable play calling and part was good goal line D by the panthers. Either way, Dallas D is looking pretty good from what I've been watching.

    Never mind that problem… Their #1 RB is back next week. It'll be a real test for our defense.

    It'll also be a real test for their O-line!! Romo was running for his life out there! Doom!

    I believe Dallas could play with any team out there… and I actually think that at home we can give them a fight!! Here we go!!

    Still… with my non-biased brain I predict 31-23 Dallas

    Our OL did well against Oaklands solid front 4 DL… Dallas will be another good test but i would put our Oline up against anyone in the league. Clady shut down seymour and got him frustrated… Clady is pure dominance. I would like to see our run game stay productive and open things up for orton to get into rythm. Our secondary will be able to handle the cowboys WR's but i hope Nolan has a plan for stopping Witten. We were able to shut down Oak's rushing attack but Dallas can actually throw the ball too so containing the run game is a must. I feel much more confortable having romo trying to beat us in the air and letting doomer just pin his ears back and chase him down. Romo seem to hold on to the ball a bit too long at times and our secondary should give our Dline enough time to get some good pressure. Just gotta force Romo into some mistakes and build a lead like we have been. This will be a good game against a worthy opponent but is very win-able for denver…

    Dude I honestly think this will be a tough game, but if the Broncos get a good pass rush on Romo and force him to hurry his throws, with our secondary. BOOM. plus our O-Line can handle Ware and Spencer on the sides…god cant wait til next Sunday, makes my weeks!

    Prediction Broncos 24- Dallas 17

    I think this game is all about line play. If our O-line continues to protect well Orton can keep his mistake free ways up. If our D-7 can get the run and pressure Romo, we will get a couple turnovers again. I have a feeling both teams will play well, and are relatively equal at this point. Unfortunately I think Praters inaccuracy from 35-45 yards is going to kill us here.

    i think it is going to be closer game, and lower scoring than people are predicting. i think that it may end up more like 13-7 or 13-9 or somewhere in that neighborhood- with us coming out on top. looks like jones is going to be out but barber may be back, so they will be able to move the ball somewhat effectively- but i just dont see them scoring a ton of points on us. unfortunately i dont see us scoring a ton of points either.

    trick to beat the cowboys is to make sure we double witten maybe bring a safety in the box to show an eight man box with a single high saftey. The safety will be man coverage on witten along with dj to bracket witten i am confident in our corners vs there wrs man on man. The eight man box will prevent the run and help to make sure that witten doesnt get on a role. We have to remove their play makers, so witten and the run game romo wont beat us with wr's. as well please god let ryan clady be ryan clady this week and set a new record for the nfl he deserves it after being robbed of the probowl last year.

    Loving the match up as it stands now, short week, have to travel to Den, Jones out and Barber not at 100%. Choice is still solid but cannot be effective the whole game. Ware is nowhere, D barely forced Delhomme into INTs which is not difficult.

    It is going to be all about taking advantage of the mistakes that Romo will make. More than a few more sacks for Doooom, at least 1 int and probably a fumble from Romo so the man of the day will have to be_

    Orton.

    We can keep it on the ground, get 200+ from our monster RB duo I am sure we will get a D TD and RBs will have huge games but the x factor will be Orton getting it to Marshall and Royal. We saw more love to Marshall last week so we will need to stretch the field a little.

    Cannot wait.

    It's amazing how every Broncos fan talks about how bad the tv anylists are unless it suits them. Romo. Excellent QB. His O-line? Terrible!! Have you seen him run for his life lately? Every game!! A non-mobile QB would die in Dallas. Orton for example.
    We'll need another good game from Orton ie no INTs and much pressure from Doom! Even then… Dallas is the better team. But we're at home. Short week for Dallas… and we're on a roll. It's possible. still 31-23 Dallas. We haven't faced a top level team yet.
