The Denver Post is currently dumbfounded. They let that loud mouth idiot Woody Paige run wild telling everyone how stupid the Bronco's are and how bad they are going to be and how Cutler was the best thing since Kerry stopped yapping for 5 minutes.

Now that the Bronco's are winning they don't know where to go. They can't praise them yet because they will look stupid for suddenly changing their tunes and risk the Bronco's sucking during the tough stretch which would mean they couldn't say "we told you so" after they said they looked good.

Give it until week 5 or 6 when the teams identity is established a little more and you will start getting some good scoops from them again. Unfortunately, its all politics.

Although I don't think we're headed for a 12-4 season just yet, this is interesting so far. So many years of being used to Shanahan and Reeves makes McD's football philosophy tough to get used to. But if he wins here, all will be forgotten. Okay, SOME of the grumbling will stop.

Can anyone clue me in on the Denver Post's sudden change in Broncos' coverage? Living in another state, I used to go to their website first thing Monday morning to get all the inside scoop. Today I open up and find a brief story about the game yesterday, the second story about Cutler, a story about the new stadium in Dallas...WTF??? If I want that crap, I'll go to ESPN's website. Thank goodness for BT- the Post is stinking it up on this one.

If anyone can enlighten me, I'd be most grateful.

Orton with another good game... baby steps people. This guy can win (or not lose) us a lot of football games. The defense looked great, the Oakland game should be a good one. JRussell hopefully has a complete melt down and we can stop the run again.

Whidbey I think you're spot on. I have hope but it's tempered with reality. Now that we will get into the meat of the season, we'll see really were we stand.

Go Broncos!

I really LIKED the team we saw in the second half...offense, defense, kick coverage. If Prater could read the wind this would have been even more of a blow-out. Good job Broncos!!!!!

Today was great, i will be the first to admit that a month and half ago i would not have guessed us to be 2-0 and first in the afc west ( but i guess we play against oak,kc, and sd, who all pretty much suck harder than a hungry newborn on a d-cup) and speaking of d's wow we looked good. I'm really liking the transition to the 3-4 and its working because Nolan is a mastermind. We pretty much shut out a cincy team that put up 31 on a very good packer d and today we also held the other ohio team to 6. Thats only 13 points against us thus far. im gonna chalk that up to 50% talent on the d side of the ball 35% Mike Nolan coaching the d and 15% to the fact that no one can gameplan against us yet. and another 10% to Doom because the man is unstoppable standing up. (thats right folks were at 110% on defense right now!) I do think that last 15% will catch up by atleast week 4 so its up to the offense to put more points on the board, we moved the ball much better this week and everyone is starting to click. Orton kept the ball out the browns possesion but i did see more passes hit the turf than recievers hands. There is a few reasons for that tho, recievers aren't getting as open as they need to be and... Orton still looks a scared. I do like Orton (until we can draft McCoy!! fingers crossed! its only fit that Colt becomes a Bronco and keeps the orange and adds some blue!), he plays smart but he has PTSD from playing for the bears and getting raped behind his o-line in chicago game after game after game... but for now, i'll take it. Its only a matter of time until this offense figures out how to play to McDs scheme 100% i feel that were about half the way there and once we get there were golden. good game today, and don't overlook the raiders for next week, we should obliterate them but so far they have been able to keep themselves in games and even win at arrowhead, i would be much more worried if jeff garcia was still rocking the silver and black, jamarcus still sucks al davis' needle dick, but hey the old man still likes blow jobs and qb's who throw 7 for 24, but its up to our front 7 next week to contain DMaC and Busch because choakland has a very good run game, and as long as we can keep them around yards per carry we should be sitting at 3-0 going into dallas at home (p.s. i hate the fucking cowboys) but hey we're 2-0 baby, GO BRONCOS!!!

This defence is much improved, and I have been impressed. Through two games we have aready forced a third of the fumbles (5) that we had all last season (15). I expect our numbers to taper off, but I am enjoying the hell out of this. I can't wait for next week!!

Solid post Whidbey, I agree with everything you said. On the plus side Orton has looked a little better in every game (including preseason) albeit its been incremental improvements.

As long as he isn't getting the turnovers and the D keeps playing like it is, he is probably are best shot. Simms has the ability to win more games for us but he will also lose more.

Not that this season isn't off to a exciting start but I am already looking forward to what our team can do with a full year of this system under its belt and hopefully a ready to lead Brandstater.

Are we going to give Doom a big contract extension this year? Don't even let the other teams in the NFL even dream about getting this guy!
