Video of Peyton Hillis‘ interview with a local Arkansas news network after the jump (the video auto-plays, so heads up).

i watched this guy last year, and i still ask myself, WHY THE HELL DID WE DRAFT MORENO WHEN WE HAVE HILLIS??!! Hillis can do it all and has power between the tackles. im not saying Moreno cant become a good RB, but we already had a guy that is good and could become great as a RB. we could have drafted Ayers at 12, Ziggy Hood at 18 and used that first rounder we gave up for Smith on LeSean McCoy. Hillis is awesome and McDaniels made another mistake by not letting this guy become the number one RB.

Way to go Peyton! Glad to see you getting some love. You’re the man here in Denver too. Can’t wait to see you play this year!

Hillis is a humble polite bad ass monster, but Moreno will be a better 3 down RB. Moreno will be faster and more nimble. Hillis is a buruiser and more versatile. I am glad we have both of them, Orton is going to need them.

In regard to the draft I think Nolan thinks he can deal with what we got. Seemed during the draft we weren’t all the concerned with the D front for whatever reason. Maybe Nolan and McD are horribly wrong and they will both be fired in 2 years but for now I think Nolan thinks he got it. I hope he’s right.

Even though i really like Peyton, he’s not a feature back. So they were going to eventually need a #1 RB. Having said that, i still think Orakpo at 12 and Ayers at 18 would have been better. Especially if there was any confidence in Buckhalter and Jordan to do well this year. But then again having Cutler and Orakpo would have been the dream. For a team that split against the likes of KC and OAK last year i don’t think they’re going anywhere this year. My prediction is
4-12 and at best 6-10. I have no faith in McDaniels and the decisions that have been made since he took over.

Wasn’t Jerome Bettis slow and black?

Not in his second year he wasn’t. He added something like 50 pounds over the course of his career. http://www.qualitycards.com/pictures/04067582.jpg

Guy has two good games in emergency duty and everyone’s calling him the next Earl Campbell.

Hillis passes the ol’ eyeball test. Not as an every-down runner to me, but a serious passing threat out of the backfield. And the kid can block to boot. He’s a legit contender for Pro Bowl FB this year.

Hillis could play the part of Rocky Blyer as Knowshon plays the part of Franco Harris, alas we don’t have the Steel Curtain. more of a wet tissue for a defense. Keeping my fingers crossed, maybe Jarvis Moss can compete for the kicker position.

Its funny when people say hes slow because at 250 pounds he ran a faster 40 yard dash than Moreno. Yep thats right. A white 250 pound player ran a faster 40 yard dash then Moreno. Hillis posted a 4.58 while Moreno posted a 4.62 while only weighing 217 pounds.
