Well I have to agree with Triston!! I think that is the exact reason why they traded 1 of their 1st rd picks next year!! Let’s just hope that the Bears’ pick will be right around 15!!! GO BRONCOS!!!!

That kind of thinking will get you labeled a lemming, a koolaid drinker, a McD lover and any number of other things. Essentially spending a first round draft pick on a player that was projected to go in the first round by many people, and then paying him as a second round pick is complete lunacy.

This is exactly why we traded one of next years #1 picks. Not only is it too expensive to have 2 first round picks, but it’s very difficult in the negotiation process.

you know what scks about being an 09 draft pick? you wont be a 2010 draft pick with even more money on the first contract

Nathan, I agree, it is a joke. What’s funny is that many of the athletes would like to see the pay scaled. Hopefully Demaurice Smith leads the way for change in this area. I am not holding my breath though.

the cynic in me sees this as a move by the owners to force the nflpa’s hand. If 20+ rookies miss some camp then they’ve made a good case.

That’s about how I see it…favored in only three games. I thought from the release of the schedule 4-12. I know it’s early but I have more faith in Vegas right now, than I do McDaniels.

Don’t expect Moreno to sign any time soon. His agent also represents the 13 14 and 15 pick in the draft. He won’t sign until they do. This is just a case of how the business works. You can’t fault him.

The NFL rookie scale is a joke Roy, and is largely why the league is facing an impending lockout in the next couple seasons. Honestly i’m willing to sacrifice 4 games as a fan to see it get fixed but I really hope they don’t miss more games than that.

Anyways, I fully expect both our guys to be locked up by tomorrow as a lot of other first rounders near where we picked were signed today.
