Well no kidding Orton is named the starter. Simms being a lefty and supposedly McD hand picking Orton as the best QB option available during the trade talks for Cutler this was already a done deal. I think this would have been a huge disaster if we even let this debate continue, of course Orton is the starter, always was.

Dude has a great opportunity here in Denver and with only 1 year on his contract I for one am really excited to see what he can do. McD is a QB genius, O Line, actual WR’s, catching RB Moreno and bruiser RB Hillis, and killer TE’s Orton will look a lot better than he ever did in CHI. Best of luck Orton. Go Neck Beard!

Most of the things we heard last year about the rookies was during training camp. Most coaches (including ours) will tell you, it is hard to really see the impact in shorts. I think I remember reading that training camp will be open, so maybe we will start hearing more about the rookies then.

Commando- All I’m saying is that if one goes down the other is better than who we had last year. I would take Simms over Ramsey anyday.

Who cares if we haven’t heard a huge fuss about the rookies? It’s not even training camp yet, you won’t hear a lot. Also who cares if Jack Williams is above Alphonso Smith? It’s not even training camp. Don’t try to take a negative spin on everything.

yeah ive looked everywhere online to see news about our Rookies and i havent found anything except that Ayers is always the last one off the field because he is working on his INT tactics. another i read on the DP was that Orton threw 3 INT’s in practice.

last year we always heard the great things about the guys you mentioned. now nothing. which dosnt bode well. Jack Williams is still ahead of Smith on the CB depth chart. that definetly doesnt sound good.

I never bought the ‘stiff competition from simms’ stuff. i think that mcd was just saying that to push orton, and send a msg to the team that you have to work to get your spot. he is still sending that msg, which is fine by me. we’ll be ok with orton, and dont have to make clady switch sides- so to me it’s the right move.

Kerry that was low. But i haven’t heard a thing about our draft picks. remember last year how the vets kept talkin about Royal, Clady and the guys. And they certainly didnt dissapointed. Even our undrafted rookies showed up Josh Bell and Woodyard. Which makes me wonder why we drafted so many DB’s but i’m not coaching.

this season not a wiff. IDK i hope they show up.

Thank GOd if he named Simms the starter i would almost snap.. Not only is simms not played in a year but is a lefty. Kyle is coming off a good year with a bad offensive line and receivers.
