Marshall Breaks Down the Two-Point Conversion

Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall took a moment on Monday to explain the two-point conversion.

“Broncos right smash Z,” was the call Marshall noted.

A play in which Marshall is the fourth option. Marshall went on to explain that the first option was Eddie Royal, Brandon Stokley, a running back and then Marshall. He told listeners that you, “Never know who Jay [Cutler’s] going to throw it to.”

Prior in the interview Marshall stated that the call for the two-point conversion was something that was called in the previous play’s huddle. Cutler had been told by Mike Shanahan that if they scored they were going for two. This clarifies the fact that Shanahan may have needed to be talked into going for two-points prior to making the decision.

Marshall also admits that he was sure that the Broncos had lost as soon as Cutler had fumbled late in the fourth quarter. He wasn’t able to hear a whistle, because the stadium was so loud.

Ever the humble, Mr. Marshall also says that he, “Had no idea,” that he had caught 18 passes until after the game.
