After a four-year hiatus, the Denver Broncos will be wearing their orange alternate jerseys in 2008 - not once, but twice. The Denver Post reports that the jerseys will be worn during home games against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3 (Sept. 21) and against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14 (Dec. 7).
The last time the Broncos wore the jerseys was in 2004, in the game you see pictured left. That’s perhaps my favorite Broncos photo of the post-Elway era, even though the game ended up in a heartbreaking loss. (Darius Watts, just catch the damn ball!) The Broncos have never won a game in the jerseys since switching uniforms in 1997.
I’ve been dying to see these in action again. This just made my day. But what do you think? Let us know in the poll and comments.

I hope it snows like it did in the Oakland game. That’s when i really like the Orange. I think they should wear the blue pants with it.

Orange jerseys, orange pants. If we’re going to be bright, go all the way.
yes to the orange, no to the blue pants. for that matter get rid of the blue pants with the blue jerseys as well, they look like a bad college uniform that way. the broncs won a super bowl wearing the white pants with the blue jerseys, they should go back to them.
I LOVE the orange jerseys, if I could decide they would be our main uniform.

I actually really like the blue on blue with the orange stripe connecting the two. I think it looks really classy. I believe that is what we were wearing when we beat New England in the playoffs a couple years ago.
Look it up, I can’t remember losing a game wearing blue on blue.
The orange is cool too - but I was at the last Oakland game and it leaves a foul taste in my mouth.
Actually, I think its just bad luck when we wear the orange and it snows.

Can’t remember if either of those are evening games but orange should really be reserved for the floodlights.

I agree with Josh Byers; when they wear the blue jerseys with blue pants and the orange stripe down the side connects the two, they look sexier and better than any other team in football, hands down.
Terrible. The orange-white and blue-white uniforms are an embarrasment.
Blue-blue or wearing the road whites at home are the only acceptable combos.
They’ve lost a ton of games in blue-blue, Josh. They lost the Packers game last year in blue-blue.
Blue-on-blue is the prime time games colors, isn’t it? Otherwise it’s blue on white…?
Since we’re all voting… here’s my vote:
I don’t like the blue-on-blue. I also don’t like the orange-on-orange. I do like the 0range-on-white (like the picture).
P.S. When are we going to see the old ‘D’ logo throw-back uniforms? I’d pay good money to see a game with the team in the those, again. :)
Hey, I love the oranges 2, I’m going 2 the Saints game, and i officially call 4 an “ORANGE-OUT” among the fans at Mile High during both those games!
Kyle: They wore blue-blue against Tenn, Minn, and KC last year. All 2pm starts.
