Denver radio station FM 104.3 The Fan threw plenty of Denver Broncos fans for a loop a few minutes ago. They began reporting that the NFL and Roger Goodell has handed WR Brandon Marshall a four-game suspension for violation of the league’s Player Conduct Policy.
They quickly began retracting their statements and are now saying he could receive up to a four-game suspension… which isn’t news in the least.
I got in touch with the Broncos, who were quick to give this simple statement that says it all:
“We have not been notified by the league on any discipline involving Brandon Marshall.”
The Broncos have been waiting for word from the Commissioner ever since Marshall met with Goodell in New York last week. Initial reports said that a decision could be expected by Friday or earlier.
Nothing to see here, folks. I’d focus on the John Lynch presser, set for 3:30 PM today.
