Tom NalenVeteran C Tom Nalen sat out Tuesday’s morning session with what is said to be a scheduled rest.  Recall that Nalen had knee surgery this June and was placed on Injured Reserve last year after suffering a torn biceps.  It seems that, much like the case with Dewayne Robertson, the Broncos are taking it slow with Nalen.

Peyton Hillis was also sidelined, missing a second straight day of practice with his tweaked hamstring.  It was speculated he’d return quickly, as soon as this morning, but those reports now prove untrue. No word on his potential return.

Let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later…

While it’s hard to see any of our Broncos sidelined during camp (especially a rookie that needs the mental reps), I still think the preseason is going to make or break Hillis’ shoot at starting.

Unfortunately, until the gloves come off and the hitting is real, you can’t full judge the effectiveness of a FB. Which is why I can’t wait to see this kid in our first games! :)

With all the trouble Cutler has had in snap exchanges, Nalen sitting out makes things interesting. Does anyone know if Cutler’s chemistry is better with one center vs. another?

He’s taken the most snaps with Nalen to this point, so you would have to imagine he’d have the best chemistry there.

I’ve heard in a few reports about fumbled snaps, never good, wish it wasn’t something we had to worry about.
