Broncos Video Round Up – Young and Clady

Two Broncos videos we haven’t covered over the past few weeks on the site.  The first is an interview with Selvin Young which I can assume was recorded during mini camp.  Selvin talks about entering 2008 as the starting half back for the Broncos.  The second video is Ryan Clady at the rookie symposium being interviewed by Adam Schefter.  Seeing Clady in that Broncos polo shirt just seems right.  This is the first interview we’ve seen with Ryan since this video right before the draft.

    Some have mentioned concern about Clady being handed the starting job. Remember that it’s just as hard to stay on top as it is to get there – and as the old saying goes, sometimes it’s harder.

    If Clady slips or get lazy, he’ll be replaced by Pears, Harris or Kuper in a second.

    I dont think it is a big deal that he has been handed the job… It doesnt take a genius to figure out that none of the guys that Kyle mentioned above have any serious NFL experience at LT. That forces us to look at what they did in college and their physical tools- meaning Clady is the best of the bunch.

    It would be foolish to think that we should draft a guy where we did and not give him the nod when the guys behind him simply arent as good as he is. Kyle’s right, if he takes it for granted, he may find himself playing the old end guard tackle role (sit on the end of the bench, guard the water and tackle anyone who comes near it).
