While the Broncos may very well be the 23rd best team in the league (I don’t buy it — and I tend toward pessimism when it comes to the Broncos), Peter King is one of the NFL reporters whose opinion I trust the least. And I regularly read his column. He’s a good writer, but I always take what he says with a dumptruck full of salt. Especially with respect to fantasy football, where he has virtually no clue.
I would say that, right now, with Cutler starting the season at full strength (as opposed to at 202 lbs.), with Hamilton, Ekuban, Moss, and Henry healthy, and with the more reasonable FA acquisitions, we’re likely a borderline playoff team, which puts us more in the 12-18 range.
