Wow, I typically enjoy Armstrong’s writing, but this article was pretty short sided. I don’t have any doubts we can at least win the West this year. Is the overall AFC going to be tough this year? Yeah, it’s real damn tough every year. It’s why we’ve been killing in the Super Bowl tally over the last decade. I will agree that our last AFC Championship appearance was during a weak year in the NFL. But everyone seems to forger that we spanked a pretty good Patriots team that year.
I had thought Javon was leaving more because he couldn’t deal with the history here with Darrent, but to turn around and sign with Oakland in a Romoesque fashion, he’s all about the cash.
