CBS 4 reports that WR Brian Clark, S Curome Cox and DT Amon Gordon were all waived to make room for a few unexpected roster additions:
5th year wide receiver Taylor Jacobs, recently waived by the niners.
How can a receiver who can’t beat out Ashley Lelie who can barely get on the field on the Niners’ squad help us?
Rookie defensive end Larry Birdine — off the Titans practice squad
I wonder if Jeff Fisher told him to do it.
Second year defensive end Paul Carrington — from the Falcons
Waived shortly after training camp, I’m not sure what they see here.
Third year defensive end Josh Mallard – also from Atlanta
Was Jim Bates in Atlanta or something?

No, but Bill Johnson, our defensive line coach, was, if I’m not mistaken. Have to check that when I have a sec
P.S. Thanks Earl
Bill Johnson was in Atlanta the previous six years.
Also, Jarvis Moss was placed on injured reserve (no surprise there).
Sorry. Since Moss has been known to be out for several days, I didn’t mention it since it didn’t feel like news.
Clark and Gordon are “eh, whatever” moves. Dumping Cox is going to haunt us. I dont understand that move at all.
hercules: I agree. We only had 4.5 safeties, and 1 of them currently injured. How does releasing a safety help us?
Just a hunch, but I think they’re going to make Foxworth a safety permanently….which would be another terible move.
